Scott Radke's Spectral Sculptures for 'Interface' @ Stranger Factory 4/5

Few words better encapsulate the spirit of Scott Radke's characters than "breathtaking". Their quiet wonderment and gentle eyes draw you in, while impish features and well-lived faces make you reconsider, if only for a second. They're at once serene and mischievous, substantial and mythical; their expressive faces revealing all of their secrets, if we could only understand. Instead, we sit in awe, and will do so again this Friday when Radke exhibits Interface, his newest body of work, at Stranger Factory. A collection of sculptures ranging from curious pink clowns to a covey of custom Skelves, Radke fans will roused by a mix of familiar and fresh approaches. Artists Kathie Olivas and Stephan Webb will also be showing.

Interface opens April 5th and runs through April 28th at Stranger Factory (109 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106). An artist's reception will be held opening night from 6pm to 9pm. To sign up for the preview, visit Stranger Factory's contact page here.
