Tsukumo Toys is making its industry debut with a special limited release of
Sket-One’s Boo Crew, and this one is looking extra refreshing in its new
“Natsugori” Summer Ice colorway. Inspired by the Japanese summer treat kakigori, also known as shaved ice, this Boo Crew release features a smoke-clear body with soft milky white blending throughout, giving the whole figure that frosty, icy feel. Up top, pale pink adds a strawberry syrup vibe, while the translucent blue hands and feet bring in that cool summer melt effect. Depending on the angle and lighting, the clear vinyl shifts and glows in a really fun way, making this colorway feel light, breezy, and perfect for the season.
The “Natsugori” color setting by Sket-One, the creator of Boo Crew, has been faithfully reproduced for this Japan-exclusive release. Produced by
Tomenosuke Shoten, a well-known name in the Japanese soft vinyl scene, this edition brings together Sket-One’s cheerful ghostly character design with traditional Japanese sofubi production techniques.
The Boo Crew “Natsugori” Summer Ice version is limited to just 30 pieces and is priced at 11,000 yen ($69) tax included. It went on sale through the
Tsukumo Toys Web Store starting July 26 at 23:59 and is not available through Tomenosuke. A super cool debut release, a perfect summer colorway, and a fun one for Boo Crew fans to chase down before it melts away.
