She’s Back in the Woods… MUMBOT’s 'Girl From The Forest Floor' hits Kickstarter!
There’s something special about seeing a project evolve the right way… and MUMBOT’s Girl From The Forest Floor is doing exactly that. Originally introduced as a direct preorder through Clutter, this 6.25" PVC vinyl figure immediately showed strong collector support. Now the project relaunches on Kickstarter — not because it needs to start over, but because it deserves a bigger stage. The molds are already made. Prototypes are finished. Paint masks are finalized. Production samples have been reviewed and refined. This campaign activates the final production push to get this figure in hand. And honestly… that’s refreshing.
At 6.25" tall, Girl From The Forest Floor is one of MUMBOT’s most technically ambitious sculptural works to date. The figure features approximately eleven mold parts, multi-layer paint mask applications, and two points of articulation at the shorts for stability. She also includes her injection-molded ghost companion, Aughostus, who adds both narrative depth and visual balance to the piece.
The OG colorway fully captures that whimsical-meets-melancholy tone MUMBOT is known for. Purple hair adorned with leaves, soft forest greens, subtle blush tones, and nature-driven detailing throughout — from her mushroom pouch to the sculpted foliage textures — all reinforce the storytelling baked into this character. It’s sweet… but there’s an emotional undercurrent there.
The move to Kickstarter also opens the door creatively, allowing for two additional colorways to expand the offering. It’s not a reset. It’s momentum. And in a time where independent toy production is facing rising material costs, unpredictable shipping conditions, and constant market shifts, this model gives artists the ability to retain control while building direct support from collectors.
Early preorder supporters are locked in and will have access to additional colorways at a discount as a thank you for backing the project from the beginning. If you’re into designer toys that feel like fully realized characters rather than just display pieces… this one deserves a serious look. The Kickstarter is live HERE right now.
