Custom MAD*l's from Zachary Trover

Zachary Trover, another super talented artist out of Kansas City who works as an Art Director for the village voice owned alt-weekly "The Pitch" in Kansas City. he also kills it when it comes to illustration... just go to Amazon.com and type in his name :-) He's a big comic book and toy nerd and listens to a lot of old punk rock.

He has dabbled in the custom vinyl scene and made some really cool customs, the first being" Mr. Monoska" the monkey. You might remember seeing this in the show called the "KC Hustle" that Zach was in with MAD in KC last winter. He's created with acrylic paint and paint pens, and that rad hat is felt, and was made by his wife, and the tail is magic-sculpt. Zach says that this character appears in his sketchbook alot HERE and HERE!

The yellow MAD*l was just for fun. He used some spray paint and stencils, when MAD was selling these by the case Zach picked up one of them and is slowly customizing them all. I really dig the Pac-Man type eyes and the style on both of these is super clean and well thought out.
