Birdy Nam Nam - "Abbesses"While looking for music I always like to try and find tracks that I can listen to while I design. Music that relaxes me but still gets my brain going. Birdy Nam Nam is a DJ crew from France whose members are Crazy-B, DJ Pone, DJ Need, and Little Mike. They are amazing in their own right and have won countless awards for their turntablism. They mix separate tracks live and with a culmination of their sound they form some pretty sweet tracks. Their sound is a mix of electro, classical, funk, jazz, hip-hop, and bits and pieces of world music. My friend E-Money showed me a YouTube video of them a while ago and I have been impressed ever since. I couldn't just post a song to listen to. You simply have to SEE them perform to appreciate some of the talent. It really does take some skills to synchronize your scratching and the speed and location of each individual record being spun by each band member. Watch the video and you'll see what I'm talking about. "Abbesses" is an oldie but goodie from their 2006 self-titled album.
