Buff Monster stopped by
Giant Robot in San Francisco tonight to sign his first book (and proudest accomplishment),
Life is Sweet. The book is great, and just like
Joanne Dragatomi (top)and
Jay222 (bottom) you should pick one up. Since it's almost midnight, and nobody probably cares about reading right this minute, I want to quickly mention that prior to the event, I ran into Buff at Amoeba Records and got schooled in the subtle (or overt) distinctions between black metal, death metal and viking metal. (It's all in the vocals and the makeup.) Tonight's signing also brought out some interesting ephemera for autographing. On one side of the unusualness spectrum, we have a tie. On the distant end, a large black and white photograph of two ladies making out. Buff seemed in good cheer and signed it all. Nice guy, that Buff Monster.
