WHAT'S NEW

*Onsite Coverage* of Woot Bear's Custom Show and Food/Toy Drive!!

Woot Bear hosted a two for one party on Saturday, a toy drive hosted by VampyBitMe and J★RYU, and a custom Kidrobot mascot show (even humans dressed as a mascot! Check out that neat costume on display by Salamander!). And we were onsite to show you some of the fun happenings!

Attendees were treated to a center display of many new customs, such as these ones by Scott Wilkowski, JPK, SekureD, ink_visuals aka Rob Ramirez and Ben Seto.

As the night progressed, things got crazy - people brought in hundreds of food items and toys for the community drive. As the donations poured in, things turned into a rowdy auction house, with lots of sweet art and gifts from artists being raffled off to those who donated and received raffle tickets. There were over 50 prizes, so basically everyone who donated an item got a neat thank you (or several!). This truly was beyond what is expected, usually food and toy drives are supposed to be a way to give back to the community, but in this case, the artists also gave to the community that love them! For instance, Steve Ferrera donated thirty art pieces from his Clans and Tribes series. Amazing!

Throughout the evening Jesse hand painted one of his 8 inch dunnies - I didn't get to stick around long enough to see what happened to it, but if someone won that, that's pretty epic. During previous toy/food drives hosted by Linda & Jesse there has always been one really big prize for the person who donated the most. Not sure if that was it ;)

One last photo of another custom, this one by Zebulon. You can see Jesse's peeking in the back too! Both were available online but I believe they are sold out now. If you want to check out any other custom pieces left, go to Woot Bear's online shop here. And of course, a big shout out to Woot Bear, Linda, and Jesse for another fun and community rich event! They demonstrate many of the reasons to support local businesses =).
