The 'Pop-up Art Book' production samples and artist books!

It's been way overdue on an update for the awesome, soon to be released, "The Pop-Up Art Book"... so away we go!!! According to Rosston, the main dude behind this rad project, they have received 3 color mockup books with many changes that have been made the last few months. The color mockups look perfect now and they are moving forward into the production phase... and to begin the proofing process, they start with nesting sheets, then full color proofs, and then assembly. Since mass production of a popup is a complex process, there are more proofing stages than in a normal print job, and the factory wants to make sure everything is right and approved prior to the full run, die cutting, and then hand assembly... a time consuming process with a fantastic end result!

Artist Books: A few pages have now been completed (Mahfood's "Grrl Scouts" and Junko's "Onna Bune") and they are still working on finalizing the other special pages, as well as the special edition covers. Due to the delay to get these books perfect, all artist book backers will get a copy of the standard edition of the book... ahhhh snap!!!
Oh, and if that's not enough, they also have some great book signings happening in the near future! Going down this summer in NYC, SF and LA with (hopefully) with all of the artists attending one of these events. More details and dates as soon as they are finalized and they confirm delivery dates with the hand assembly factory.
