Jon-Paul Kaiser's custom Red Demon as pulp hero or noir protagonist… You decide!

Given the ominous name "Silent Thoughts, Silent Streets," this customized 8.25-inch tall Red Demon figure has been converted from the standard Lucha Libre visage by Jon-Paul Kaiser. Slouched over in his trenchcoat, single cigarette dangling from his lips, I can't decide if this reminds me more of a pulp-era hero — a la The Spirit — or a hard-boiled noir detective, like Sam Spade in The Maltese Falcon. Either way, the stark photography of Justin Allfree really brings the minimalist color palate to life here, revealing this wonderful piece in all its subtly detailed glory.
