Otto Bjornik's custom of Freak Store's Fonzo for UK Show!

Composed of that delicate line work and pristine grayscale washes that we've come to know and love, we're happy to reveal Otto Björnik's superb custom of Freak Store's "Fonzo" figure for the previously announced "Fonzo Loves the UK" group show. The iconic Björnik painted big eyes, hair swoop, and floating flowers are all present, though the strange little pudgy ghost chasing a bone that decorates the belly keeps catching my eye. Björnik tends to be as methodical in his design choices as he is in his execution, so those strange tummy elements surely indicate something… though I much admit that I am at a loss to figure out what.

"Fonzo Loves the UK" will open on May 11th at the Sho Gallery, 1A Inverness Place, The Coach House, Roath, Cardiff, CF24 4RU.
