PocketWookie's custom "Dudeburger" looks delightfully delicious!!!
When asked "what's the story behind this custom?" to artist Peter M. aka PocketWookie... he replied "I like cheeseburgers. I like the Dudebox Dude. They seemed to work really well together. So I spent the past week making it." So with a little bit of super sculpey, primer, acrylic paint, etc. PocketWookie created this fantastic looking custom! I love how he kept the arms in tact, along with the added sculptural lettuce, cheese, tomatos, onions, ketchup, pickles and of course a sesame seed bun... this piece is a home-run in my book! He mentions that it will be up for sale soon... just no word on when, or where... but you can visit his Facebook page HERE for up to date info on this piece, as well as the rest of his art!

Argonaut Resins "The Kings of Atlantis" resin skulls are back... in mini form!!!
Eric of Argonaut Resins just announced some really big news as he will be releasing an all new shrunk down version of the mysterious Demi-God skulls based on the 10 King rulers of the island of Atlantis. These new mini KOA skulls feature the same design as the original larger King skulls that were released, and sold out, a while back.
Source [Argonaut Resins Press]
"Ten Demi-God Kings ruled the fabled island of Atlantis thousands of years ago. They all perished when their paradise was destroyed by the Gods. All that remain are their skulls...each endowed with an incredible power that is passed onto whomever has the skull in their possession. They say too much power is not a good thing...are you willing to take a chance and find out if this is true...?"There will be the usual multiple colors including solids, metallics, and clear tints with a few hidden (chase glow in the dark) skulls in each wave. There will be 4 waves of 25 pieces "BLIND BOXED!" with the first wave dropping next week sometime via the Argo online store HERE. The last wave of mini skulls may show up at the upcoming New York Comic con if the production schedule permits... so get ready!

Motorbot's "Scowl" figure, set to be let loose... soon!!
We first revealed Motorbots "Scowl" figure during one of our EPIC Free Goodie Friday giveaway contests... well he has been amassing an army or these 3-eyed owl creatures and is ready to let them loose upon the unassuming masses this coming Monday, August 13th via his online store HERE at 10pm CST. He tells us that he will have 2 dozen of them created, half will be the clear painted versions with eyes, and the other half will be the gliter resin with eyes. They will be priced at around $40 a pop... a steal if you ask me!
First look at VISEone's "Tube Monster"
We have been covering VISEone's upcoming figure release dubbed the "Tube Monster" with teasers and sneak peeks... but today, we are getting a look at the first finished version! Titled the "ZOMBIE JUICE" edition, this bright green slmie colored figure looks really coool! VISEone mentions that it's a little smaller than he expected... measuring 3.5" tall, but overall he is really happen witht he way they look. He tells us that he is working hard to make them available by the end of September via DKE distribution... so you will definitely be able to see them in the flesh while VISEone is at NYCC 2012 via the TENACIOUS TOYS booth. Look for more colorways to emerge soon!

Frank Mysterio vs. Wooper Looper!!!!
Mexico based artist Frank Mysterio got ahold of Gary Ham's Wooper Looper vinyl figure and decided that it needed a little paint, so away he went, and above is the result. This super bright and colorful custom is just what the doctor ordered! I really do like the used of color gradients, as well as the incorporated shapes and scribbles... a cool looking custom, for sure! To see more photos of this piece, be sure to head on over to Frank's Flickr site HERE.

T9G's Mazinger Z figure & other new kaiju prototype!
The fantastic KaijuMonster blog pointed out the above pieces, which they are reporting on as new T9G prototypes. The images are taken form T9G's Instagram feed and, denoted with one of the images, is "マジンガーZ by S9EZ." マジンガーZ (Japanese trans. "Mazinger-Z") is certainly the inspiration for the overall design, but I'm not certain why S9EZ are being referenced… this has none of the trademarks of their style, though maybe it is a collaboration of sort. Time will tell.
Of absolute certainty, though, is that the above pictured piece is a sculpture for a release that T9G is currently working on as well as a drawing of the work's inspiration.

Chauskoskis's WIP sculpt for his Dragatomi art show!
There's an old adage (which I just made-up) here in the SpankyStokes offices: When Walter "Chauskoskis" Jacott starts showing off sculpts, you know good things are coming! And, hmm, pictured above is a fresh sculpt from Chauskoskis, so… we know good things are coming; specifically, they are going to Dragatomi who will be presenting a Chauskoskis and Southerndrawl art exhibition in September.
The Southerndrawl and Chauskoskis show opens on September 8th, 2012 at Dragatomi, 2317 J St., Sacramento, CA 95816.

Sucklord's "The Super Suck Up!" figures by Ferg, Paul Kaiju, DrilOne & Onell Design!
As we previously announced, this year's Designer Con will be suckier than ever… because The Sucklord is taking over! And the most exciting tidbit was that a bevy of talented artists would be customizing 50 copies each of The Sucklord action figure, which will be sold at the convention for $100 apiece. Pictured above are two of the currently completed designs: on the left, DrilOne's "G.I. Gaslord, Leader of the Sewers" figure and, on the right, Matt "Onell Design" Doughty's take on the iconic form.
Then we have some great looking work-in-progress packaging art by Ferg for his "Zorcho, the Burner" piece, which appears that it will give the Sucklord figure a Bud head and 'roach clip' arm.
And, as a final teaser, some of Paul Kaiju's art for the backing board of his figure. I'll be honest, I hope his comes with a mini meat grinder and tiny Gay Empire figures… but I have a feeling that that'd be asking a bit too much of the man…

Erick Scarecrow x ESC Toy's "Zone 6" NYCC 2012 Release Sneak Peak!
Seeing Kaiju or even Kaijin has become rather commonplace in the Designer Toy world, but it's not every day you get to see what appears to be a Yōkai (Japanese "strange apparition") piece! And leave it to Erick Scarecrow & his ESC Toy company to try and change that… The above teased release entitled "Zone 6" is scheduled to make it's debut at the year's New York Comic-Con. I'm sure more information will trickle in before the October unveiling, though.

Suckcases for your Sucklord figures… Gotta protect the Suck!
You've spent a small fortune buying your wonderful Sucklord figure collection and you've decided to keep them on the backing boards… since that's what it's all about. But how do you display those bad boys?!? Step in the Galactic Jerkbags, the Suckadelic fan site, who have worked with DKE Toys to produce the Suckcases (shown above)! Keep your figure dust free while the runners inside the case keep the backing card standing straight and a wall mount tab on the back lets you, well, wall mount it. Each case is $15 plus shipping and, if you want one or more, just drop an e-mail to analog101 [at] hotmail [dot] com specifying the number of cases you want and where they will be shipped to; he'll get back to you with a total shipping amount.
Please note, these cases will work on most Sucklord releases, but there are known issues with: Rodimus Prime (due to the placement of the bubble), Sucklord Zero (due to the thickness of the book) and — able to fit just not inside the runners — Toht, Kreactivaders and the Cosmo Douche. In some extremely rare instances, the backing board of a figure outside of this list may have been improperly cut which will lead to problems housing it in the case properly.

INSA x LALA Arts to release three limited prints today!
To commemorate INSA's trip to Los Angeles to decorate the massive Art Share LA building — which he has the lovely help of fans to thank — and his inclusion in the Public Works project, INSA has teamed-up with LALA Prints to produce several version of his new "LA Rainbow Heel" piece. Each of these 7-color split fountain gradient prints has been hand-pulled by Master Printer Lino Martinez and incorporates NovaColor gloss spot varnishing as well as East LA's finest metal flakes from 'Big Mike.' Present on over 30"x30" premium 320 GSM Coventry Paper, each print comes signed, stamped and numbered with a certificate of authenticity. But what truly separates the three editions is the final treatment on the black areas… The above pictured "Black Magic Edition," limited to 20 copies for $250 each, has black that "looks like a standard spot varnish in low light but, as light hits [the] black, [it] has a metallic sparkle!"
The "Ruby Red Edition," on the other hand, is also limited to 20 copies but at $300 each. For these, the black areas have a subtle "red shine but as light hits shows a deep ruby red metallic sparkle!"
The final version — the "Silver Galaxy Edition" — is limited to a mere 5 copies that will cost $500 each. This print features "silver speckle across the black that really sparkles with the light, full spectrum metallic shine!" All these prints will be available starting at 10AM PST today (August 9th, 2012) in the LALA Arts website.
