Blurble creates monsters, from "Monster's"!!!

Blurble has been hard at work making some new customs, and above is his latest batch of Monsters. First off is his "Sea Monkey of Death"(middle)! This guy lives in the deepest parts of the Sea Monkey tank and has a tough time getting along with other Sea Monkeys... something to do with the fact he eats other sea monkeys..His body is made of vinyl and his head is Resin. The head is also made with a special resin that when under UV (Black light) glows pink! Next up is "Chief Hydra"(right)! This dude is all business and has one goal in mind and that is killing all zombies he comes in contact with. He is decked out with a custom Ax covered in zombie blood and has several pieces of jewelry that he wears. The beads on his necklace represent the amount of zombies he has killed. Last is "Sunbaked Monster"(left)! Lets just say he was under the sun for way to long! But the dude loves the beach he just forgets to apply the SPF50... All of these will be available in his webstore HERE this Sunday at 12pm PST... don't miss out!

Pause Design's Lumberjack 8" Dunny... is AWESOME!

Every so often we get emails of custom vinyl figures that really blow us away... and today was one of those days, as artist Eric aka Pause sent over an awesome custom commission he recently completed for one lucky collector. This is an 8" Dunny titled "What A Day For A Daydream... and what a fitting title that is! This burly lumberjack is so stoked to find his next tree... he's dreaming about it, and Pause was able to capture that dream with a seriously impressive thought bubble! This is the real deal and it's complete with real boots, clothes, axe, chopped wood, and chest/arm hair... WOW!!! I just love that facial expression, and that collector that commissioned this has got to be extremly happy with the end result!

Task One's custom Dunny series work-in-progress is amazing looking!

I've been waiting for the outstandingly talented Task One to either do his own custom series or be a part of a group one, and now it looks like the former will happen. This work-in-progress picture shows 12 custom 3-inch Dunnys all made in a similar brick building style but with three colorways. Task One refers to this as a "custom dunny series" but will the they be blind boxed? Time will tell!

Josh Mayhem's "Black Ravenz" custom for Miss Zukie's group show!

Josh Mayhem continues to grow his "Askew Rangers" army with the addition of the "Black Ravenz" piece, a custom DIY Zukie figure for the upcoming "Zukie vs. the World" group show. Mayhem has suck amazingly crisp masking lines and his mash-up accessories continue to be spot-on. If you told me this started out like as a Zukie, I'm not sure I'd believe you… he significantly sculpted on the base and really made it his own. I feel like this is the beginning of Mayhem pushing himself further, something I've been dying to see!

"Zukie vs. the World" opens on July 27th with a reception from 6-10PM and runs through July 29th at Toy Toyko's TT Underground Gallery, 91 2nd Ave., New York, NY 10003.

Spektor's "Finger Mafia" vinyl toys up on Kickstarter now!

These 5" vinyl figures from Spektor, all designed to look like fingers as violent criminals, are actually pretty sweet. I love the attention to detail and the accessories like spot-on. There's the Japanese Yakuza member "Sushi San," the Italian Mafioso "Don Stromboli," the Drug Cartel enforcer "Senior Burrito," and the Russian 'business man' "Vodka." To finance the creation of these pieces, Spektor's turned to Kickstarter with a wide variety of award tiers… you can get just one Finger Mafia figure for $50 or all four for $300. Um, wait, quick math check… yea, that's not a good deal. I mean, you get other rewards at those tiers too, but shouldn't there be a get all four figures and nothing else for $200 or something? Hmm… Check out his campaign HERE, if you're interested.

JeAA's "R.A.D.C.O.M." custom for the Robotars Custom Show 2!

JeAA's contribution to the upcoming Robotars Custom Show 2 — which asks artists to use Jomike Tejido's DIY platform — that'll take place this weekend (opening July 21st) at Vinyl On Vinyl, Malugay St., Makati, Philippines. JeAA's "R.A.D.C.O.M." concept revolves around a futurist Noah's Ark, a machine made to collect and protect the last remaining samples of nearly extinct creatures… The piece has a wonderfully weathered look and tons of immaculate details, which are hallmark traits of most JeAA customs. Another beautiful addition to his oeuvre, though it has too many details to properly show off here… but, thankfully, a video was made:

Jason Freeny x Fame Master's "X-Ray Gummi Bears" coming soon!

Jason Freeny's "X-Ray Gummi Bears" have been five years in the making, but we're informed that the first wave is preparing to ship right now. The entire series will consist of the basic five gummi bear colors: Lime (green), Pineapple (clear), Lemon (yellow), Orange (orange) and Cherry (red), with "special edition" versions — like the below pictured Terminator Gummi — being offered as well.
Made by Fame Master, the first wave will consist of Lime (green) and Pineapple (clear) — both circled in the photo — and the special edition Terminator Gummi. Standard price for these should be around $35 to $45 each and Freeny will have a small quantity to sell direct to fans once they arrive. As an avid gummi eater, I gotta say I love this disturbing idea… though it may make me question popping the tiny gummi critters in the future…

Futura x Hennessy… A Limited Edition Cognac Bottle!

It's strange to see NYC graffiti legend Futura designing a bottle of expensive cognac for Hennessy, but no different — I guess — then when KAWS did it last year for the same "Hennessy V.S" series. These limited edition bottles won't be shipping until August, though the price hasn't been announced yet.
