PHOTO RECAP: Kuso Vinyl SDCC Booth with BeeFy & Co, Rotobox & Van Beater Signings!
John "Spanky" Stokes happened to be walking by the Kuso Vinyl SDCC Booth just as BeeFy & Co. was preparing for a signing… Camera in hand, Spanky couldn't resist taking a few snap shots for you to enjoy! But that's not all, as Spanky also caught the elusive Rotobox duo during their signing at Kuso's Booth as well as Van Beater (with a surprise appearance by Chauskoskis)!

REVEAL: Andrew Bell's 9+" tall Android Prototype is large & in charge!
No, that's not a bit of Photoshop magic… that's a really big Android vinyl figure! For those eagle-eyed people who saw our earlier post revealing some of the Series 03 figures, you could spot this guy in the corner of a couple of pics. We originally thought he was simply a mascot for the SDCC Booth, but — as it turns out — it's a new 9+" tall prototype that Andrew Bell had made. Fingers crossing that these wonderfully large versions come out soon!

PHOTO RECAP: Sawdust Bear's Table at SDCC!
A wonderful photo series of our friend Shing Yin Khor — aka Sawdust Bear — had an amazingly full table at SDCC so we thought we'd share this recap of what she had going on with you. Some mighty impressive sculptures (including many Larms and Fiji Mermaids) at her Small Press Table P-16!
Emily Bee's custom Androids for Dragatomi's SDCC 2012 series!
Here are all four of Emily Bee's custom Android figures for Dragatomi's blind boxed series available at their 2012 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) Booth #4935. Bee delivered four designs that, while each unique, play off each other… the happy-heart and broken-heart figures work brilliantly with the "me" and "you" ones. The shame is that this would've been a perfect set to own, but it's highly unlikely someone will be that lucky…
Dragatomi's blind boxed custom Android series will cost $80 per box and only 62 customs will be in the series. They are available at SDCC Booth #4935 right now, while supplies last.
Contributors to this series are (links take you to the most recent post on their customs for this series): Ardabus Rubber, Betso, DrilOne, Emily B, Igor Ventura, Jay222, JC Rivera, Jeremiah Ketner, JFury, John "Spanky" Stokes, J★RYU, Leecifer, Mike Die, Mr. Munk, Nebulon 5, PodgyPanda, Ritzy P, Ryan the Wheelbarrow, Scott Tolleson, Sergio Mancini, Shawn Wigs, Skinner, Task One, UnCle, and ValleyDweller.

Thanks to our friends over at Vinyl Pulse, we have a picture of the contents from a Super7 Trading Card pack… which is free with any purchase at the Super7 SDCC Booth #4729. But remember that each of the 14 SDCC Exclusive releases comes with a unique card for that piece as well. And heck, here's a picture of the 12 exclusive vinyl toys they released, just to make you drool…

Holy amazing Super7 announcements weekend!!! Yes, everyone's favorite D.I.Y. company has secured the license to the classic Transformers line, meaning they can put out a variety of stunning pieces for those of us with nostalgia on the mind. Wow, just wow! We're promised that not only will Optimus Prime get the Super Shogun treatment, but other Autobots and Decepticons jumbo-sized in 2013 as well!

REVEAL: Andrew Bell's Mahākāla 8" SDCC Exclusive Dunny by Kidrobot!
We posted a teaser of this last night but here's the full and proper reveal of Andrew Bell's Mahākāla (Prosperty Edition) 8" Dunny, which Kidrobot released today as a SDCC Exclusive. Based on his design for the Dunny Series 2012, this white version is amazing looking and translates the form from the previous 3" size perfectly! For those not at the San Diego Comic-Con, I'm guessing there just might be a black version mass released soon…

REVEAL: Super7's Action Figures from the film "Alien"!
The Super7 Booth at San Diego Comic-Con (#4729) was used to announce — simultaneously with the company's website — their newest toy line: ReAction Figures, which stands for Retro-Action Figures. These action figures will be produced exactly the same as the original 70's and 80's lines, with classic style sculpting, T-shaped waists, five gloriously simple points of articulation, accessories, and period authentic blister card packaging. And what better way to inaugurate this new line than with finally releasing the long "lost" 3.75-inch Alien figures? Yes, back in 1979 prototypes were actually made for these but never used… until Super7 tracked them down!
This 33-year in the making release is being done with the official authorization of 20th Century Fox, who own the film franchise, and will include: Ripley, Ash, Dallas, Kane in Nostromo Suit (prototype above left) and the Alien itself (prototype above right).
Super7 promises that other Alien and Aliens merchandise will follow, including designer vinyl figures and even collectible glasses (shown above)… The glassware is being touted as "four different 'fast food' style drinking glasses — [indecipherable word] like they should have been made in 1979!" As a fan of the Ridley Scott film and the H.R. Giger design, this is like a dream come true…

REVEAL: Andrew Bell's Android Series 3 Designs by Sket-One, Gary Ham & Kelly Denato!
We'd previously revealed a couple of the designs from the upcoming "Android Series 03" set — like Kronk's HERE and kaNO's with the design sheet HERE — but Andrew Bell's SDCC Booth #1335/1337 snuck us peaks at five more of the figures… two designed by Google (the red one and the clear with mini Android keychain inside), the Sket-One eight-ball figure, the Gary Ham owl, and Kelly Denato's satyr. But the reveal wasn't the above illustrated renderings, but rather the following actual pieces!

REVEAL: Super7's Super Shogun Boba Fett partial prototype!
The Super7 SDCC Booth #4729 seems to be filled with one announcement after another… or proper reveals even! Sure, we all knew that the company would be following up the fantastic Star Wars licensed, Jumbo Machinder-style "Super Shogun Storm Trooper" with a "Super Shogun Boba Fett"… heck, they teased it HERE. But here's the prototype sculpt of the 24-inch tall figure's head as well as small sea of rockets that the mammoth piece will be able to fire! Needless to say, I can't wait to see more!

Guf of Tattoo Royale has "King Swine" at SDCC… in his backpack!
If you can catch up sculptor and tattoo artist Guf of Tattoo Royale on the the San Diego Comic-Con floor, then he has some sweet versions of his "King Swine" figure to sell you straight out of his backpack! Kaiju collectors beware, this is probably going to be one of the worst advertised drops of the con… but certainly a worthwhile one!
MORE INFO: Super7 Prototypes by COOP, Invisible Creature & Brian Flynn!
Even though we just revealed them yesterday, there's already more information on this trio of Super7 prototypes in their 2012 San Diego Comic-Con Booth #4729! After Preview Night (July 11th), it seems they placed info cards in the display! From left to right:
Brian Flynn's "Crystal-Mecha" (which was also revealed last year), appears to be about 9" tall and is part of the "Destroy All Kaiju" line (alongside TaoKing and Fossila). The description reads: "Part gem, part kikaiju, there are many facets to this machine of destruction!"
Invisible Creature's "Odd Galaxy's Stinson" appears to be about 6" tall and is part of the "Mascot DX" series. The description reads: "Stinson is part of a new series of intergalactic misfits from the mind of Invisible Creature! This large vinyl figure will feature turning head, chair, and hidden rolling wheels."
And, finaly, the COOP designed "El Diablo," which looks to be 9-12" tall and will be part of the "Destroy All Kaiju" family with "Crystal-Mecha." The description reads: "Mecha vs. monster! This satanic super robot was created by master artist COOP! Stylized as a [indecipherable word] Japanese vinyl figure, complete with removable wings."

Andrew Bell's SDCC 2012 "Mahākāla" Prosperity Edition 8" Dunny revealed!!!!
During his presentation at the 'Secrets of Toy Making Forum' during SDCC 2012, Kidrobot's own Nitin Bhargava revealed Andrew Bell's upcoming 8" Dunny dubbed the "Mahākāla" Prosperity Edition... and I was on hand to snap a few pictures! This figure is set to release tomorrow at 12pm Noon PST via Kidrobots booth, and as you can see this awesome looking 8" version of his already released 3" Dunny is looking pretty rad.. it's highlighted with white/silver and features a whole new sculpt for the body and head, a truly progressive design for the Dunny platform... and check out that trident!!!! One thing I do notice is that there is a black version as well, could this be a chase? Who really knows... but I know I will be there snapping shots of Andrew signing this beast. See you there.
