TYO Toys's 4"x4"x8" stackable display cases!

After years of having to cobble together your own display case options, it seems like everyone decided around the same time to make viable solutions! TYO Toys have created the above shown 4"x4"x8" crystal clear acrylic display cases, which might not be interlocking but are easily stackable. While you can easily fit any mini figure within the protective shell, it was actually made with the TYO Toys Dreamtruck custom in mind (which fits inside perfectly). And at only $6 each, these are quite the bargain from HERE.

JMAX!'s The Android Project (TAP) custom series of weathered & worn bots!

Relative newcomer Justin "JMAX!" Maxwell has hit the ground running with his "The Android Project," or TAP for short. As you can see in the above pictures, Maxwell has developed a solid technique to make those tiny vinyl forms look like battered, weathered, abandoned, worn machines, which do have a strangely funny backstory…
In 2092 Google stock crashed and the company was purchased by IBM. Thus the Androids were rendered useless. The remaining Androids have banded together and run rogue in the streets destroying IBM ATM's. They also plan of returning Google to it's dominate state as we know it today by hostile take over of Bing-hoo. Together, the Androids are known as...TAP!
Maxwell's only made four pieces in this series so far, but nearly had an immediate sell out in his online shop at $60 each. If you'd like a piece of your own, before other's find him and drive the price up even higher, then you can commission work from him at mxw82 [at] aol [dot] com.

Shez's EOD Bomb Tech 7" custom Munny is ready to make an impact!

It's been a while since we've heard from Shez, a definite up-and-coming customizer that we've been touting for months now, so when these pictures of his wonderfully detailed "EOD Bomb Tech" Munny arrived in our inbox we might've squealed with delight. This 7" Munny custom was commissioned by a family whose son is about to graduate from the EOD school, so they wanted Shez to create a piece with a realistic bomb suit… which is exactly what he did. If you're interested in commissioning a Shez original of your own, you can contact him through his brand new online shop.

Chauskoskis' and Squink's custom Fonzos for the upcoming Freak Store show!

For the upcoming and previously announced Fonzo custom group show at Freak Store, we have a fantastic Chauskoskis piece entitlted "AlFonzo Weismuller." According to Chauskoskis, his custom is "not only an really experienced swimmer and got a great hairstyle, he's a fashion trends follower and more important he is a good looking sexy male." I certainly can't argue with the hairstyle, as that comb-over is quite killer… as for the rest, well… he, um, comes with a fabulous rubber ducky!
Chauskoskis has really gone all out here, tons of amazing sculpting, the creation of a picture perfect accessory, and a spot-on pain job. Whoever buys this piece has quite the amazing addition to their collection, though Chauskoskis did confide in us that he kinda hopes this doesn't sell… just so he can keep it for himself.

And while don't know the name of this fine fellow yet, UK artist Squink has done no less stellar a job modifying the Fonzo form into something uniquely amazing.

The Fonzo Custom Show will be held on July 25th at Freak Store, Centro San Ignacio. Nivel Jardín. Sector Las Vegas. Local LV-22, C.P 1060, Caracas, Venezuela.
Participating artists include: 64Colors, Betso, Brandt Peters, Burundanga Design, Charles Rodrígues, Chaukoskis, DrilOne, Fakir, Gabriel Carpio, Gabriel Mesa, Gary Ham, GerardMDS, Jeremiah Ketner, Kathie Olivas, MAp-MAp, Murkasec, M-Lon, Oui Design, RonaldArtx, Rsin, Run DMB, Sergio Mancini, Simplevector, Squink, The Beast Brothers and Travis Lampe.

Monstrehero and Real x Head have teamed up to bring you the sickest mash-up imaginable… resin cast parts added to the vinyl base of a Chaosman body equals: Leechface, which we previously teased HERE! Each one is hand-painted with an array of Monster Kolor sprays and has glass eyes embedded into the palms of his hands. From what we can tell, only 11 of these creatures were created and they will be for sale at SDCC… but no word yet as to where or for how much, but if they don't all sell at the con then leftovers will appear in Monstrehero's online store.

Limited to only 10 copies, these are sure to go quick… but Skinner fans are destined for something even more special this year! The "Devil's Bodyguard Ultrus Bog" 10-inch hand-painted figures were a surprise, even to Skinner himself who didn't think he'd have them done in time. JonPaul Kaiser's Captain Lionheart custom 5" MAD*L figure!

Can a lion say "Arrggghhh!" or does it come out more like a roar? Not the kind of question one might normally ask, but JonPaul Kaiser's wonderful "Captain Lionheart" custom certainly begs the query… Made from a 5" MAD*L, Kaiser's typical black & white style looks phenomenal here with that touch of blue the coat fades into. Whoever was smart and lucky enough to commission this piece certainly got their moneys worth.

C'mon, Kidrobot! We need official Gary Ham "Wooper Looper" Dunnys!

"I love it when a plan comes together!" was a frequent line on the TV show The A-Team, but it's also what I always think whenever some grass roots movement spontaneously forms to try and get something done. Pictured above are two one-off 3" Dunny customs Gary Ham has created using his axolotl-inspired "Wooper Looper" design and people immediately responded to them… sending Kidrobot tweets like "@Kidrobot: We need @GaryGepetto's Wooper Looper Dunnys in both 3-inch & 8-inch now please!" with links to images. To the best of my knowledge, this wasn't organized… it simply happened because a LOT of people actually want these produced. And who can blame them, the pieces are gorgeous looking! Ham admits that the above pair were made for his personal collection, but — due to the reaction — he might make more for sale in the future; I just hope he got my request for a pre-order already!

There was ever a selection of Mark Nagata / Max Toy Company releases on hand, since the manufacturer had become a sponsor of this fantastic event! All the remaining pieces from this second showing are now listed on their website for purchase HERE, so check it out & help support the kaiju scene.
