DrilOne x Leecifer x Scott Tolleson... a custom 'Chipster' three-way-collab for SDCC 2012
WOW... has this every happened, to my knowledge a 3-way artist collab on the same figure is pretty damn few and far between, and to have 9 pieces customized by DrilOne, Leecifer, and Scott Tolleson... well, someone pinch me now!!! These rad 'Chipster' customs have been graced by all 3 artists, and if you are familiar with their separate styles, you can see where Leecifer applied his dry-brush techniques, DrilOne rusted and rivited em', and Scott applied his clean masterful lines... making for some cooky combinations, that work soooooo well together. All 9 of these will be available at Scott's booth #4836 for an unspecified price just yet, but Scott does mention that they will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis... so hurry on over, but remember... no running in the convention hall :-)

Frank Mysterio x Chauskoskis - "Antichrist 666" prototype on display at SDCC 2012
We just got some really cool pictures in from Frank Mysterio about an upcoming project that will soon be released in luscious Japanese vinyl... yup sofubi folks! This crazy looking demon is tentatively being called "Antichrist 666", and was originally a 2D piece of art by Frank... fast forward to what you see above as Walter J. aka Chauskoskis has taken the daunting task of turning this amazingly detailed figure into the 3D realm... and it's turning out awesome! Oh, and according to Frank, if you all plan on attending SDCC 2012, Chauskoskis will have the finished prototype on hand to show off... RAD!!! I for one am really interested in seeing what type of arms this beast will have, and as you can see from the above pictures, it looks like he will come with little back wings... sweet! I will get some up close and personal photos of this from the con so expect a full run-down review next week!

Jeremiah Ketner's custom Androids for Dragatomi's SDCC 2012 series!
It's been a while since we've had any updates on pieces for Dragatomi's blind boxed Android customs series due to release at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con> (SDCC), but that changes right now with the reveal of Jeremiah Ketner's five unique pieces. If you only took a quick glance, you might be thinking that these aren't unique but rather multiples… look again, my friends! The detailing on each chest is completely different as are the embellishments on the top of their heads, not to mention that the color of their arms and legs are varied. Oh yes, I pity anyone that doesn't buy at least one of these blind boxes…
Dragatomi's blind boxed custom Android series will cost $80 per box and only 62 customs will be in the series. They will be available at SDCC Booth #4935 starting Preview Night (Wednesday, July 11th).
Contributors to this series are (links take you to the most recent post on their customs for this series): Ardabus Rubber, Betso, DrilOne, Emily B, Igor Ventura, Jay222, JC Rivera, Jeremiah Ketner, JFury, John "Spanky" Stokes, J★RYU, Leecifer, Mike Die, Mr. Munk, Nebulon 5, PodgyPanda, Ritzy P, Ryan the Wheelbarrow, Scott Tolleson, Sergio Mancini, Shawn Wigs, Skinner, Task One, UnCle, and ValleyDweller.

Sucklord x Jason Freeny - "Boba Fett" 1/4 cutaway dissected action figure revealed... maybe at SDCC 2012?!
We just stumbled upon the photo that you see above via Jason Freeny's Facebook page and were completely floored with what we saw... a collab between Sucklord and Jason... WOW!!! This 1/4 cutaway dissected "Boba Fett" action figure is looking amazing and according to Jason "This is as far as I've been allowed to show on this piece. Final revealed after its release..." So what does all of that mean, no time frame... well, Jason continues to say that "This will be cast and about 50 produced. Lots of details still a mystery to me. Official announcement at SDCC..." so it looks like things might get a little clearer for all next week during the con, but will these be released then, or just displayed... who knows! In any case, this is an epic collaboration, and the end result will be one hot commodity! Stay tuned for details once they emerge!

Jay222's Lady Vengeance x Max Toy Co.'s Drazoran = Lady Dinosaur custom for SDCC 2012
Take the head from Jay222's "Lady Vengeance" figure and affix it to the body of Max Toy Company's "Drazoran" piece, then paint the whole thing to make it look like is was meant to be that way, and what do you get? Jay222's "Lady Dinosaur" custom that will be available at Dragatomi's 2012 San Diego Comic-Con Booth #4935 for $100.
While the don't list the day and time of availability, I'm guessing it will coincide with the Jay222 and Max Toy Co. signing at 5PM-6PM on Thursday, July 12th… Could we also be seeing some new "Lady Vengeance" figures being released then? Hmm…

Sergio Mancini & Igor Ventura's Most Wanted Dunnys get PWNED! And Superish pre-order news too!
Just what the heck is going on here?!? It's the fantastic custom 3" Dunnys by Sergio Mancini and Igor Ventura, for the Most Wanted Series 3 blind boxed set, only… different. Yes, as a fun one-off each artist created an additional copy of their custom piece but left the face blank, allowing the other to finish it for them; so we get Mancini's "Paperboy" completed by Ventura and Ventura's "Pyromaniac Puppet" finalized by Mancini. Not only do they look great, but these will be true conversation pieces in any Most Wanted collection. Both one-of-a-kind creations will be available in the Red Mutuca online shop tomorrow (Friday, July 6th) at 12:30PM PST… a mere half-hour after their previously announced Most Wanted APs drop!
But wait, since you'll already be there… stick around until 1PM PST and you can try to score one of the limited pre-order copies of Red Mutuca's Superish blind boxed custom series. We originally mentioned this series HERE and HERE, but now we've heard their might be less than 40 total blind boxes in this release… meaning that having a chance to guarantee yourself one during the pre-order is key. Each custom comes in an exclusive box with artist card, though no word on the mini-comics we'd heard about… and the pre-order price will be $130 each with shipping in September.
This series will have super-hero inspired custom 3" Dunnys by: Chauskoskis, Grimsheep, Sergio Mancini, Matucha, Tim Munz (aka timselF), RunDMB, Luihz Unreal, and Igor Ventura.
So remember, head on over to the Red Mutuca online shop at 12 Noon PST to grab the Most Wanted Series 3 APs, at 12:30PM PST to snag the one-off PWNED collaboration customs, and at 1PM PST to aim for one of those Superish pre-order blind boxes…

Sekure D customizes PAW, Kidrobot Mascot, Super Mario Bros. & Dunny figures… Oh my!
Sekure D has been a busy, busy customizer… Pictured above is his very first Course Toys custom, entitled "Codename PAW RAW." You can really see Sekure D's mastery of color in this piece, the solid swathes of bright colors playing against the beautifully faded cool tones. Sekure D was given free reign to do as he pleases when working with this platform and, as you can see, that's obviously the way to go when commissioning a piece from him! And though this one isn't for sale, Sekure D's online shop is loaded with some new additions…
Up top are three blind boxed custom 3-inch "Dunny Things," each made to resemble The Thing from The Fantastic Four comics franchise. He first developed this technique, to the best of my knowledge, for the Battle of the Mascots series and it's served him quite well so far. Each of these blind boxed beauts runs $60 and is available HERE.
In the middle is "Kid Codename Unknown," the artist's first time taking on a full-size (7") Kidrobot Mascot with his signature style. It looks absolutely superb, almost as if this was exactly as the form should've been painted from the start. And I love the little details like the Nike swooshes on the sneakers and dripping sweat lines on the chest. Costing $225 for this one-off piece, you can snag it HERE.
And finally, pictured below the others, is Sekure D's customized Super Mario Bros. Goomba. Entitled, obviously enough, "Codename Goomba," just look at those sculpted eyebrows and that head fin… superb quality. And, as you've already seen, the painting is all top notch. A true steal at $125 for this 6" vinyl figure, which you can buy HERE.

What does Dcay's Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dweller (CHUD) custom look like? Let's see…
Indiana-based artist Dcay entitled this piece "Ernesto," but you know what they say: If it looks like a C.H.U.D. and scare the bejeezus out of you like a C.H.U.D. then it's probably a C.H.U.D. For those that are uninitiated, that acronym stands for Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dweller… which those big, sharp teeth and tiny, squinty eyes certainly make this pale skinned critter look like. Dcay did a wonderful job sculpting this 7" Munny into a new form and painting it up just right; excellent job all around for this custom piece from the Toy Invaderz show.
The "Toy Invaderz" Group Art Show is currently up and runs through July 30th at RGB Lounge, 1420 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL 60622.
