Lunabee and her "Hunny Bumblers" custom Dunny's
Alright folks, listen up! Sarah aka Lunabee has created a brand new series of custom Dunny's dubbed the "Hunny Bumblers", all of which will be up for grabs tomorrow June 26th at 11am PST via her online store HERE for $100 each! There are 6 hand painted Hunny Bumblers in this series - each with unique color and detailing with hand sculpted antenna and little wings on the back... skillfully created and ready to buzzzz into your home! I myself am very partial to the yellow/black one... but they are all so adorable. Great work Sarah!

Custom Horselington by LYSOL... is awesome!!!!!
Keeping true to it's original form with slight modifications, LYSOL completely went to town on this Horselington for avid horsey collector Pranay. That being said, I really like the addition of the flouris type tattoo work on the right side of the body... it's very tribalistic in nature and really adds some great great depth to the figure. Along with the unconventional color scheme, that seems to work so well with this figure, it's really a top notch job... and I am sure a welcome addition to Pranay's growing Horselington collection!

Ron English's Fat Tony "Teal" edition... a Popaganda store exclusive release!
Ron English's wonderfully obese Fat Tony, which we recently reviewed, appears to have gotten a new colorway... and this "Teal" version is going to be exclusive to Popaganda.com, Ron's website. Oh, and if you head over there now, you will see it has been completely overhauled and features a really nice cohesive design... making this release of the figure a celebration of the new and improved website as well! "A Ton of Tiger with a Short Shelf Life The 100% Nutrition-Free Vinyl Toy. Sugary cereals captured the hearts of Young America by giving away cheap toys made in China in every box. This prize at the bottom of the box actually ate the cereal. A delicious shortcut to attention deficit disorder!" Each Fat Tony is personally signed by the artist, and is limited to just 100 pieces worldwide... making this 9" tall vinyl figure very limited! It's going to drop on June 8th at Noon EST for $100 a pop... don't miss out!

*ON SITE* Luke Chueh's Artist Lecture, Q+A, Book Signing & Print Release @ Giant Robot
Continuing with his book release and signing tour, artist Luke Chueh graced the Giant Robot store with an artist lecture followed by a Q+A session with the audience. He signed copies of his "Bearing the Unbearable: The Art of Luke Chueh" hardcover book as well as released a new print, which will be of the 2007 piece "Swarm" in a signed & numbered edition of 50 copies. Unfortunately we were not able to make the signing in person, but thanks to Los Angeles local video/photographer Jordan Ahern, who attended the event, sent along the above pictures to share... and as you can see, Luke made some folks super happy with sketches. If you are around for one of the upcoming event, be sure to go out and meet Luke... better yet, pick up his book... one of the best art books I have ever seen!

Trenton M Studios's custom Buff Monster & MAD*L figures!
Trenton M Studios have released the above 1.5" Buff Monster one-off custom entitled "Weak Robot No.3" for $40. Made by layering acrylics, inks, and watercolors on the vinyl platform, this piece might seem to be slightly over-priced but nothing outrageous…
But then you see his other recent customs, the one-off 5" MAD*L with the wonderful title "The Young Boy with the Very Square Shaped Head" and the set of a 4" & 1.5" Buff Monster pieces called "Weak Robot Twin Set No.1 and No.2;" the former is $200 while the latter is $190. Both are easily double what the standard market price for similar customs bears without — in my opinion — showing evidence for why such a high price is asked. Customs are a lot of work and I do think artists should be fairly compensated, but this certainly seems like inflated pricing to me. If you disagree and are interested, all three pieces are currently available in Trenton M's web shop.

Blink182 x Jermaine Rogers - Essen Germany limited edition tour art print
As the ongoing Blink-182 tour continues to roll on across Europe, we are continuing to get info on the rad limited edition prints that are being released at each show, and for tonight show, June 25th 2012, in Essen Germany - the powers that be enrolled Jermaine Rogers to create a limited edition art print that is going to be limited to just 100 pieces and will be up for grabs at the show. Jermaine will have a run of Artist Proofs(AP's) dropping in the near future, so be sure to keep an eye on his site HERE. I really dig this design, as Blink's mascot is the Bunny, and Jermaine put his own touch to it with a rattle can in one hand and the 'sign of the horns' in the other... how fitting.

DKE Toys x Alex Pardee - "Bunny With Mesmerizing Eye" image leak again... what could it mean?!?!?!?!
Honestly... I am as perplexed as you all are, and for the DKE Toys SDCC 2012 announcement today... it appears that we are getting yet another cryptic message that involves Alex Pardee. Like we speculated before, our hunch is that Alex is releasing a new plush, or should we say plush'es and this go around it look like it's of his "Bunny With Mesmerizing Eye" that you see above. Now, this is just speculation, as it could be a t-shirt, or a print... so we will just have to wait for the official announcement!

Limited edition "Wooper Looper" plush release from Gary Ham for SDCC 2012
Artist Gary Ham is gearing up for SDCC like the majority of folks in our little scene and he just posted up an awesome photo of one of his many offerings for this upcoming convention... The Wooper Looper plush! These are a continuation of the plushes made for the Plush O Rama show that was held at Dragatomi in November of 2011 and the 4 Woopers you see above measure 14" tall and are hand sewn by Gary... SWEET!!! Each one is stitched with a number and signature on the backside of the plush. The number corresponds the the number of Woopers made, so these ones are numbered 3, 4, 5, and 6. They will be up for grabs at SDCC via Gary's booth #4836... and seeing as there are only 4, they will go fast, so get there early with cash in hand if you expect to score one of these!

Don P's "Skryton" custom Mini Munny is a skull-wearing warrior!
While I'm not 100% sure what this custom 4" Mini Munny by Don P is supposed to be, I do know that it looks fantastic. The skull mask is beautifully sculpted and frighteningly well done while the small elements on the body remind me of Tosei-gusoku (Samurai plate armor). So I'm not certain this is supposed to be a warrior, he is one in my mind…
Alas, we don't know the status of this amazing piece; it's not located in Don P's web shop, so the best we can do is advise interested parties to contact the artist himself.

Leecifer's custom for the Luke Chueh x Giant Robot's custom UglyDoll show during SDCC!
What is this wonderfully askew Batman custom all about?!? Crafted by Leecifer from an UglyDoll base, he informs us that this is for a group custom show that Luke Chueh is curating for Giant Robot and will take place during the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). Expect this to be a "colossal convergence of talent," as Leecifer puts it.

Keithing's "Ape Bramble" customs pit threeA versus Planet Of The Apes!
In a dark version of our future, the civilized world of man has collapsed: the remaining humans are slaves to their new masters, the Statue of Liberty lies buried deep in sand, and the apes have taken over. Yes, I'm obviously referring to the movie that spawned the most infamous line of "Take your stinkin' paws off me, you damn dirty ape!": The Planet of the Apes. This is worth mentioning for it was surely an inspiration for Keithing as he customized this threeA WWRp Heavy Bramble with a Tim Tsui ape head and sculpted the two seamlessly together. And while I love the look of the mecha-ape, especially his Terminator-esqe red Swarovski crystal eye, it's actually the "Ape Shall Never Kill Ape" 'law' written on top of the rocket launcher that really makes me smile. Made in an edition of 12 pieces, each one of this stunning pieces will retail for $399.99 when released on Wednesday, June 27th, 2012 at 12 Noon EST in the Toyqube web shop.

Josh "fplus" Pearce's duo of custom fantasy warrior Dunnys!
If you've been following the trajectory of Josh "fplus" Pearce's career, then you've marveled at his growth… with each passing custom, his detail level in sculpting and painting continues to evolve exponentially, his unique & fantastical voice has been steadily becoming apparent, and he's been busy with a consistent stream of pieces that become spoken for before they're completed. So news that he's sneakily customized two Dunnys and slyly slide them into his web shop is outstanding! Pictured above, both "The Feather" and "The Leaf" are highly sculpted figures modified with resin, iridescent acrylics, and copper. Each one retails for $125 which, given the amazing amount of work, seems like a steal! Go forth and grab 'em now HERE.

Angry Woebots x Lightsleepers x Silent Stage's “Lightsleepers Greys” Panda King Severed Heads!
The Angry Woebots designed “Lightsleepers Greys” Panda King Severed Heads are being released by Lightsleepers in association with Silent Stage. These appear to be hand-cast resin pieces standing about 3" tall, but that's simply guesswork as the strangely don't disclose that information… but each of these 15 limited edition pieces is hand-painted by Woebots himself and signed on the underside. I actually really dig the fluorescent pink eyes and black paint splatter, which play well against the bright teal crown. These sculptures are already available for sale at $60 each (plus $5 shipping within the U.S. or $10 worldwide) by e-mailing lightsleepers [at] gmail [dot] com to reserve your copy.

Rampage Toys's "Cyclops Dinos" Available Now & at SDCC?!?
You might remember when we announced the imminent release of the "Cycloptic Dinosaurs," which have had their name shrunk down to "Cyclops Dinos." Well, this amazing kaiju sofubi set is available for pre-order now from Rampage Toys! Pictured about are the first test pulls, but it gives a rather solid idea of what they will look like in the finished color choices of orange, green or purple… or even mixed colors if you prefer. All three can be yours now for $55 from HERE, though this pre-order is for an unpainted set — with Jon M of Rampage willing to do the eyes and mouth if you request it — while the first painted release will be occurring at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con in Dragatomi's Booth #4935.
