This past Wonder-Con, fans of
Doktor A. were greeted at the Kuso Vinyl booth with the release of a brand new figure, and first spotted at Designer-Con 2011 in prototype form, the ever so steampunky goodness of "Chester Runcorn" has been born! This delightfully cute, mustached Mechtorian creation comes courtesy of
Kuso Vinyl and we decided to do a LIVE review of this bad boy... so above is the somewhat long, very informative video.
This edition, dubbed the "Port" version is limited to only 300 copies worldwide and can actually still be found over on the Kuso Vinyl website
HERE for $65. The 6" tall faux-bronze figure features an amazingly seamless paint job, along with the really cool sculptural elements that have the much needed patina... really put the icing on the cake of this fun figure. If you watch the video above you can see that I really dig it, and only have one problem... the packaging. It's super nice... too nice actually and I would have liked to have seen cheaper packaging which would in turn lower the price of the figure as this would be more fitting at around the $50 price range. Other than that, the figure is awesome, the production is fantastic, and it's a really cool new Mechtorian to add to your already growing Doktor A. menagerie! I would totally recommend picking this up, so do so by visiting the Kuso Vinyl online shop
HERE.

Wow... I am really digging these new figure from
Kidrobot, and the way that they are being released... well lets just say it's going to be a fun hunt! Kidrobot has some stores all over the world in some really fantastic cities... and that is the basis for the new "City ‘Bots Minis".
Each 3" vinyl figure highlights the city where it's exclusively sold by showcasing the characteristics that the city and its citizens are famous for. Five Kidrobot retail stores have their own special ‘Bot:
San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and
London... and check out the stereotypes that each bot has... hahaha, gotta love the hippy SF bot and the Teef on the London bot :-) These are going to drop on June 21st, and each figure will retail for $11.95 a piece... but remember, they are only available at their respective store... so happy hunting!

Jeff Beck of
Menace Inc. Studios shares with us three Work-In-Progress (WIP) pieces for his upcoming "Space Case" blind boxed custom Android series (
which we previously announced HERE). With there only supposed to be 6 regular edition pieces, 1 chase piece and 1
Urban Vinyl Daily Exclusive piece that you can only get on their web store, it appears Beck is off to a great start towards making his announced June 21st release date. And while these customs don't quite yet have the magic of
the original, we assume — once they are done — they will be just as fantastic looking.

Per his usual,
Davidkraig heavy relied on Super Sculpey to remake this 4" Mini Munny into the wonderful rendition of Chewbacca (or "Chewie") that you see displayed. But for this iconic Star Wars character, that finished coat of acrylic paint wasn't enough, so Davidkraig handmade the bandolier out of actual leather and metal. The result? Fantastic!
I do have to note that the figure looks strange when you see the whole body, that huge head juxtaposed against those tiny feet… but, overall, Davidkraig killed this piece. The expressiveness of Chewie's face alone sells me on it. Chalk up another win for this customizer!

Let the games begin...
Kidrobot just posted up a really nice teaser photo of a little taste of what they have coming up for the international convention coming up this July, SDCC 2012!!!! From the looks of it, since they are not revealing any info, we can see that there will be a
Dunny, what looks to be a frog, a cowboy with wings... maybe a new Huck Gee figure based on his old hand-made OG's, a new Labbit, and what appears to be a Homer Simpson figure. Now this is all speculation, as we don't really know what they have planned, but you can start saving money now folks because you know these are going to be hot commodities!!!! More very soon!

This custom threeA Tomorrow King figure with robot head, entitled "TK Spoon Sports," was made by Carlos "
wwwetworks" Cacho. The piece was commissioned by a female racecar driver, so all the decals and colors emulate those found on her vehicle, and the "Spoon Sports" t-shirt was handmade specially for this figure.
While not as impressive a customizing feat as Cacho's recently revealed "Tank Girl" piece (reviewed
HERE), it remains a solid addition to the artist's oeuvre.

The Ă¼ber-talented duo known as
Artmymind have — once again — succeeded in exceeding expectations and even out-doing themselves! Above is their custom 4-inch Trikky "Higitsune" (Japanese for "Fire Fox" or "Great Fox of Fire"), which actually stands 6.3" tall when you include those wonderful custom geta (Japanese wooden sandals) and chonmage (top knot of hair). There's even a backstory for this magnificent piece:
From the darkness he rose, flames bursting from his body like thousand suns. At first, confusion, surprised to see his body transformed. The thought of his last battle run through his mind. An enemy too powerful, a blade slashing and the kiss of the flame devouring his weak body. But death didn’t come… The Kitsune spirit has reborn from this inferno in something different, something greater and unpredictable… Higitsune.
This piece was submitted into the
Kidrobot Munnyworld Contest, which is now completed… but between the flawless sculpting, detailed painting, immaculate clothing and accessories, it would be a true shock for Artmymind not to win the "Best Trikky" category at least.
