Mad x Pobber Toys - Dr. Morkenstein "Pajamas" retailer exclusive edition

We posted up a teaser HERE earlier this week showing of just a glimpse of a new colorway of MAD's "Mork" figure, and now the entire cat is outta the bag as Pobber Toys just released full images and info regarding this new Dr. Morkenstein "Pajamas" edition!
"What did it look like when the evil Dr Morkenstein was a kid? The amazing new Pajamas edition explores that, showing the young Dr. Morkenstein in his pajamas. Check him out in his red pajamas with grey stars and stripes and his self-made helmet with the words 'BEWARE'. Looking so disarmingly charming and 'innocent', you might just stop caring that he turned out to be the evil brother."
This is the retailer exclusive colorway and that it will be limited to only 150 pieces... oh, and rumor has it, this will go on sale starting the week of May 21st! I personally really dig this version, and those muted down purple p.j.'s with the silver accented pattern looks so great... and how can I not mention that bright green head... AWESOME! Look for these to start popping up in designer toy retail shops worldwide, retailing for $65 a pop!

Emma SanCartier's "Ovok" is adorably brilliant & going to Kickstarter!

Emma SanCartier has created a brand new designer toy platform named "Ovok," which she's hoping to produce as a wonderful resin run. Pictured above is a test paint SanCartier did for the "Woodland Ovok" colorway and I'm loving the look of this beast and her sculpt… it's reminiscent of Sendak's Where The Wild Things Are beasties while conversely being completely it's own creature. We'll be updating you on this tomorrow, when the Kickstarter campaign to fund this project is launched.

A Little Stranger's "Stripey Legged Forest Dweller" Dudebox custom!

The "Stripey Legged Forest Dweller" custom was Holly "A Little Stranger" Stanway's complete re-imagining of the Dudebox's Dude platform for the launch event on May 10th at the Village Underground, London. Stanway sculpted the face, antlers, hands and feet out of Fimo, elongated the legs quite a bit and added posable plush arms to balance the look. The body is a covering of trimmed multi-tone faux fur, which looks so soft it hurts. I adore this piece, which retailed for £180 (approx. $285), and whoever ended up buying it will surely treasure it for the rest of their life.

Skinner x Jay222's "Deep Ones" for their Lovecraft series!

The above teaser picture is, we're certain, the next installment in Skinner and Jay222's H.P. Lovecraft-inspired "Figure-A-Month" series: the Deep One…
"I think their predominant color was a greyish-green, though they had white bellies. They were mostly shiny and slippery, but the ridges of their backs were scaly. Their forms vaguely suggested the anthropoid, while their heads were the heads of fish, with prodigious bulging eyes that never closed. At the sides of their necks were palpitating gills, and their long paws were webbed. They hopped irregularly, sometimes on two legs and sometimes on four. I was somehow glad that they had no more than four limbs. Their croaking, baying voices, clearly used for articulate speech, held all the dark shades of expression which their staring faces lacked… They were the blasphemous fish-frogs of the nameless design — living and horrible."
— H.P. Lovecraft, The Shadow Over Innsmouth (1931)
While nothing is official, we're assuming an end of May release in Skinner's online store with a limitation of only 10 pieces and a price around $100-$115 each.

Jennipho's delicious "Ice Cream Dunny v2.0" mini series is delectable!

While still a work-in-progress as a whole, pictured above is the first completed piece from Jennipho's upcoming "Ice Cream Dunny v2.0" custom mini series. Like her first series, this new one will consist of 10 custom 3" dunnys made to resemble dripping ice cream on a waffle cone… but without the use of any paint for coloring. Yes, that's right, she's using strictly colored sculpey to make these amazing pieces! To date, here are the flavors that have been announced (WIP pics of some below): Strawberry Shortcake with Vanilla Ice Cream and Strawberry Bits, M&M Ice Cream on Cookie Cake, Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream and Chocolate Cake, Birthday Cake Ice Cream and Confetti Cake, Vanilla Cake and Strawberry Ice Cream with Hot Fudge, Mint Chip Ice Cream and Chocolate Fudge Drizzle, and Cotton Candy Ice Cream and White Cake.
With a release date "getting clooose," you can follow Jennipho on Facebook to keep up-to-date and there's an ongoing discussion about this series over at the Kidrobot Forums.

MAD's Crystal Mini MAD*L for Breaking Bad producers!

In the aftermath of making the Crystal Mini MAD*L — which widely became known as the Breaking Bad Mini MAD*L, which we announced HERE and HERE — Jeremy "MAD" Madl received a call from the producers of the AMC television show. It seems the producers had been trying to snag one of the figures for MAD's online shop without success… so, being the nice guy that he is, MAD "cooked up a batch" of slightly darker Crystal Mini MAD*L's exclusively for the Breaking Bad producers. Limited to only 5 copies, this is the rarest version of these brilliant figures yet. But if you've missed out so far, fear not: "there's lots more [versions] coming."

The Yok's "Oh No, It's The Po Po" limited edition prints!

Brooklyn-based street artist The Yok knows a thing or two about covert spray painting missions in the middle of the night that lead to being chased by the long-arm of the law, so the creation of his "Oh No, It's The Po Po" screen print makes perfect sense. Measuring roughly 23" x 16" (A2 size), this hand-pulled print is limited to only 25 signed & numbered copies. The Yok also has a handful of hand-embellished copies of the print on brown paper for $120 each. Ordering information can be found HERE on The Yok's Facebook page.
