2bitHACK's "Mini SUCKaws" is a teeny tiny packing Stormtrooper!
At roughly half the size of a "normal" SUCKaws, 2bitHACK's brand spankin' new Mini SUCKaws looks exactly like a mini replica of the full-size version. You can still clearly see the vaguely Stormtrooper like head, the crossbones look clean and the — um — "package" is still present. This 2.5" tall resin piece has one other great feature: half the price of the full size version! That's right, this bad boy can be yours for $20 in 2bitHACK's online store.
Sucklord's new Toy Lords of Chinatown: Sucktrooper figure!
When we first announced the screenings of Sucklord's Toy Lords of Chinatown episode 3 in NYC, there was no hint that there might be an exclusive figure dropping… and there's still no official word, but this pic from inside The Sucklord's Suckadelic Studio certainly implies that there might be one! Titled "Toy Lords of Chinatown: Sucktrooper," it seems natural that these pieces will be available at the showing.
The screenings of "Toy Lords of Chinatown Episode 3" will be on May 18th at 9PM and 10PM at The Producers Club, 358 West 44th St., New York, NY 10036.
For the uninitiated, you can view Episode 1 HERE and Episode 2 HERE.

64 Colors's painting for Supahcute's show at Leanna Lin's Wonderland!
Above is one of two paintings 64 Colors did for tonight's Supahcute Dream Team group show. Entitled "Slo Poke," poor Marshall appears to be the cuteness that all the other sweets taunt. Exquisitely painted, adorable beyond belief, and yet still with a hint of weirdness. Lovely.
"Art Too Cute For Words," curated by Supahcute, opens tonight (May 12th) with a reception from 6-10PM, though you can visit the space right now and view the works. The show runs through June 24th at Leanna Lin's Wonderland, 5024 Eagle Rock Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90041.
Participating artists include: Axelhoney, Beastlies, Bubi Au Yeung, Crowded Teeth, Doubleparlour, Fat Rabbit Farm, Gary Ham, Genevieve Santos, Hiné Mizushima, Jerrod Maruyama, Katie Cook, Liz Adams, Martin Hsu, Mekanikku, Melissa Hsu (Susuten), PodgyPanda, Sawdust Bear, 64 Colors, Susie Ghahremani, and Yoko Nomura. In addition, a justJENN Designs pop-up shop will be present.

JC Rivera's custom "Evil Motha F***rs" Kidrobot Mascots!
Oh my, JC Rivera's customs for the previously announced upcoming "Battle of the Mascots" mini series are serious contenders… but, then again, what do you expect when you name your figures "Evil Motha Fuckrs?" Per usual, Rivera does it completely right: perfect sculptural elements, painted in his washed style, and it all looks great. The one-off chase variant (in the middle) is a little weak in terms of differences with the regular four figures, but… c'mon, is that seriously a problem?
"Battle of the Mascots" will be released on May 22nd as a set of 50 blind boxed customs, each costing $65. The Good Side is represented by Sekure D, Hugh Rose, AlexBreak, Fuller, and MatCanDraw, while the Evil Side consists of Don P, Commandante, Nikejerk, JFury, and JC Rivera.

"Smokey" custom from Ian Ziobrowski for the "Most Wanted: Behind The Hype" gallery show
Last night showed off some of the finest customs by some of the scenes best customizers at the "Most Wanted: Behind The Hype" gallery show which was hosted by 1AM Gallery... and continuing with his fine collection of NUGGLIFE figures, Ian Ziobrowski submitted the above custom titled "Smokey" to the show! According to Ian "Smokey is the biggest hippy in town. This guy is always wondering around searching for the finest crop in town. Unfortunately his paranoia dominates his cool ninety percent of the time, thinking the whole world is watching him. SO pretty much..... he's useless." Just like all of the pieces Ian creates, this one is chalked full of fin details and amazing craftsmanship! Oh, and it's up for grabs right ow HERE via the galleries online store!

Fuller's custom "Heaven's Death Squad" Kidrobot Mascots!
The previously announced the upcoming "Battle of the Mascots" customs series denoted that Fuller would be on 'Team Good,' but I gotta say that his piece look like complete bad ass evil to me. So I e-mailed him to ask his thinking on the matter and he kindly explained that these are "Heaven's Death Squad," which I'm taking to mean something like angels of vengeance. And see, they do have little wings on their beautifully rendered skull emblems. Regardless of the question whether these look like 'good guys' or not, they do all look absolutely stunning. Fuller's fades are impeccable and his one-off chase variant, pictured dead center, has some outstanding additional work to it. Another killer piece for this sure to be classic release…

Call to Customizers: Vinyl Thoughts 3's Artist Registration is Open!
Vinyl Thoughts 3: Drawn Together is now holding an open artist registration for those interested in being included in their September custom show. Much like last year, this will be a themed event… the binding concept being a celebration of illustration, whether in comics, cartoons, graphic novels, or animation. There will be five categories within the theme — pre 70's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and post 90's — and, if you are planning to submit multiple pieces, you have to choose at least three different categories to be in.
The will also be including art on canvas this year, though the piece must be on a 12" x 12" canvas, fit within one of the five categories of the theme and incorporate a recognizable designer toy form somehow (Dunny, Munny, Labbit, MAD*L, etc).
Artist Registration ends on June 1st and can be done HERE.
