The curse of Doktor A.'s "Bella Delamere"...

For some odd reason I had thought that the release of Doktor A.'s submission for the Arts Unknown had already release a while ago, but according to Dok, this figure has been somewhat of a "Curse"... going through multiple sculpts and multiple revisions... finally landing on the one that you see above. "Bella Delamere" features an awesome neo-steampunk design... and Dok A. knocked this particular character out of the park, not only in design, but with a compelling story as well! Dok states "Discarded with the sump oil at a very early age, Bella was swept downstream until she found herself by the sea. She soon made friends with all forms of aquatic creatures and was taken in and raised by a family of Kraken (the smaller lesser spotted variety). Upon reaching adulthood she returned to the surface and emerged into society, remodelled after her adoptive kin folk. The tentacles do not raise many comments around town. But her insistence on always waring a mask certainly does. Much speculation is whispered about her true identity. And one day she will reveal her secret to the father who left her for dead..."

This figure, like the previous mentioned releases from Arts Unkown, stands 8" tall... also mentioned is that amongst many other colorways, there will be a randomly inserted chase version as well... pretty rad, and on top of that, there is an exclusive Members’ Edition colorway (bloody version above)! Dok also mentions "Now she is looking better than ever. With improved, re-tooled weapons and a secret tucked away somewhere. She is, quite literally, a killer…" So you best get ready for this release folks as the proof is in the pudding, or sculpt, this figure is going to rock!

"Strawberry" Freshly Caught Feelings from Taylored Curiosites releasing very soon!!!!

Penny Taylor and her Taylored Curiosites just sent over some info to share of her latest release... and how adorable are these?!?! She just finished her second installment of her "Freshly Caught Feelings", and this go around they feature beautiful jam/pickling jars... each lined with artificial grass. She also incorporated hand make vintage tags that, explaining which "Feeling" is inside the jar. In this case, it is a new Feeling called Fruity who smells of strawberries and comes with a little bag of strawberry sweets in case it gets hungry on it's journey. The mini plush themselves are a mere 1.5" tall and are made of super soft fleece. Each is stuffed with naturally soft stuffing and strawberry aromatherapy. They each have a handmade, sewn in tag, that has their limited edition number on out of 40... along with 5 hidden rare white versions that are randomly numbered, so you won't know if you have one, until you open your box. These will retail for just $16 each and will be available in her shop HERE in the next few weeks!

Ryan the Wheelbarrow's custom Dunny & Paintings for "Most Wanted" show at 1AM Gallery!

As you might've guessed, the above is one of the custom pieces that Ryan the Wheelbarrow will have at the upcoming "Most Wanted: Behind The Hype" gallery show. The gold and red really pop well, I like the seamless lack of arms, and it uses die-cut vinyl instead of dry-transfer instant lettering (I like the die-cut vinyl look better, personally). I really love the eyes on this 8" custom Dunny, they just really work for me.
And, in addition to his customs, Ryan will be exhibiting the above pair of paintings as well. Hmm, does this mean that other artists involved will have non-custom artwork displayed? Very eager to learn more…

"Most Wanted: Behind The Hype" (more information HERE) opens on May 11th (6:30-9:30PM) and runs through June 10th at the 1AM Gallery, 1000 Howard St., San Francisco, CA 94103. Participating artists are: RunDMB, Tim "timselF" Munz, Ryan the Wheelbarrow, Ardabus Rubber, JC Rivera, Grimsheep, Nikejerk, Artmymind, Gomi, Rsinart, Lickyourelbow, Pause, Chauskoskis, Uncle, Ian Ziobrowski, Matucha, Dr Befa, Chica Terremoto, Igor Ventura, Sergio Mancini, Luihz Unreal, Nevercrew, Hugh Rose, Carson Catlin, ClarkR, Muffinman, Lily Black, Megan "Me Smithy" Smithyman, Bubo, and Chris "We Become Monsters" Moore.

Don P's custom "Horror Movie Slashers" Kidrobot Mascots!

Holy crap, that's a lot of killers all in one place… and they're all preparing for the upcoming "Battle of the Mascots," which we've previously posted about. Don P's obviously evil crew consists of four Jason Vorhees from Friday the 13th and one chase variant Ghostface from Scream, all fantastically rendered in 3" custom Kidrobot Mascots. Their dirty look is perfect for this concept and I love that the Ghostface variant seems to come with a bloody victim whose face has been peeled off (though I don't recall that happening in any of the films). And what's more, this battle is just warming up…

"Battle of the Mascots" will be released on May 22nd as a set of 50 blind boxed customs, each costing $65. The Good Side is represented by Sekure D, Hugh Rose, AlexBreak, Fuller, and MatCanDraw, while the Evil Side consists of Don P, Commandante, Nikejerk, JFury, and JC Rivera.

Sergio Mancini, RunDMB, Igor Ventura, Chauskoskis & more announce new custom Dunny series!

"Look up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a series of custom Dunnys done by some of the 'Most Wanted' artists out there!" Yes, that amazing collective known as Red Mutuca is putting out a mini series of customs… and it appears to be super-hero themed using the Dunny platform. Not excited enough? You do realize who the members of Red Mutuca are, right? GrimsheepSergio ManciniMatuchaTim Munz (aka timselF), RunDMBLuihz Unreal, and Igor Ventura. Oh, and their bringing Chauskoskis along for the ride. Aside from "Coming Soon!" not much else is known at this time, but we'll surely keep you informed!

Brutherford announces Chocolate Ice Scream Man colorway!

Well, there's no purple Ice Scream Man forthcoming it appears (as we incorrectly posted about HERE),  since it was actually a Chocolate one put through a tint! So yes, Brutherford is going to be issuing a sweet brown Chocolate colorway of their ever-popular Ice Scream Man platform. No official word, but we're guessing it will be limited to 125 signed & numbered copies for $75 (in line with the other colorways). But what's this mean for the Orange Sherbert we teased at the same time as the purple? When I adjusted the color balance to make the purple in the picture brown, the orange remained orange… so it seems safe to bet that Orange Sherbert is happening.
*** UPDATE *** The official title of this flavorway is BadASS Brown, but our assumptions about limitation and pricing proved accurate.

Grimsheep's custom Dunny for "Most Wanted" show at 1AM Gallery!

A dashing skull mask on an intricately and perfectly painted custom? Yup, must be a new piece by Owen “Grimsheep” DeWitt… specifically one for the upcoming "Most Wanted: Behind The Hype" gallery show. I'm seriously and honestly not sure what I can say that your eyes can't tell you; yet another absolutely stunning piece for this amazing looking show.

"Most Wanted: Behind The Hype" (more information HERE) opens on May 11th (6:30-9:30PM) and runs through June 10th at the 1AM Gallery, 1000 Howard St., San Francisco, CA 94103. AlexBreak's custom "Buddhist Monk" Kidrobot Mascots!

Harken back to our posting about the upcoming "Battle of the Mascots," as the forces of good continue to accumulate. Joining Sekure D's "Fantastic Four" Mascots, we have AlexBreak's "Buddhist Monk" custom Kidrobot Mascots. I'm really liking the look of these, even if the robes get a little muddy looking with the painted folds. And while the four 'regular' customs are nice, the one variant chase — with his mohawk and slit shaved eyebrow — really speaks to me. I think the concept of a traditional looking monk having 'punk' aspects is simply the kind of juxtaposition that tickles my fancy.

Jon Walsh's "Stormies" on Kickstarter! May the 4th be with you!

It started with a "bad feeling" before "moving along" to this post, the full reveal… Jon Walsh's hand-sculpted "Stormies" figures, which will be cast in resin by Matt A*. This none-too-cheap endeavor is being funded via a Kickstarter campaign, which reached it's goal in less than 12 hours; which means everything now is pure gravy. Beyond being able to order the standard 2.5"-tall figure, there are some customizers that have donated their time & skill for higher reward tiers: Nikejerk, Fuller, Ian Z (aka Ian Ziobrowski), UNCLE, JFury, Halfbad (aka Adam Pratt), Nick Curtis / Trust Pigs, Shez, 2bitHACK, and Jon Walsh, though it seems all have already sold out… but Walsh is working on getting a second wave in-place, so keep your eyes peeled. Check out this Kickstarter HERE and please donate.

Rotobox Vinyl Anatomica's Jumbo Mazinger Z Qee custom!

Dr. Hell's Mecha Beasts are on the rampage! Whatever shall we do! Call in the Super Robot known as Mazinger Z to fight 'em…
So yes, Rotobox Vinyl Anatomica obviously had a lot of fun with this, remaking the original anime's opening with their piece inserted within. This Jumbo Mazinger Z Qee custom is quite fantastic; not only does it look spot on and production lever, but the Hover Pileder is removable from the head, the pilot (Kouji Kabuto) is an individual figure and the Super Robot himself has Rocket Punch attacks on both arms. Another stunning piece from the Rotobox team!
