Ferg x Grody Shogun's Young Gohst Subscription Announcement!

Fairly recently we revealed several new photos of the "Young Gohst" collaboration between Ferg & Grody Shogun, but — at the time — we didn't realize that the release was so close to happening… in fact, the ordering begins tomorrow (Monday, April 30th)! A subscription to the series of 13 figures will cost $285 (U.S. shipping included, International shipping an additional $70) and begin at 12 Noon CST tomorrow… with an open order period of roughly one week. To those that subscribe, they will receive two figures a month for six months (with three shipping in the final month). If the subscription is a bit too steep for you, then there will be alternative of ordering two figures for $58; these figures being the clear yellow body with black brain & the clear body with glow-in-the-dark brain.

Here's the information we've learned: the actual colorways of the first twelve 3"-tall sofubi pieces are those indicated in the color sheet shown above and the 13th figure is a mystery/secret. While the colors of the removable brain sculpts is set per the color sheet, there will be four various actual sculpts for the brain that will be randomly inserted; from what I've seen, these are: round tongue, forked tongue, cubist cut brain, and the last is unknown to me.

The subscription and two-pack both start their ordering period tomorrow (April 30th) and will be available for roughly one week. This will be exclusively at Grody Shogun's Lulubell Toys site.

Tilt x 1xRUN's upcoming Super Mario Bros. print series!

Famed graffiti artist Tilt has teamed up with 1xRUN to bring you the above shown series of Super Mario Bros. prints. While what we're seeing are proof copies, I can already tell that I want a full set for myself… and, if I understand correctly, they should be dropping within the next week or two. We'll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more.

UNCLE's teaser piece for Most Wanted show at 1AM Gallery!

While I know that the above is a teaser pic from UNCLE for the upcoming "Most Wanted: Behind The Hype" gallery show, I have no trouble admitting that I have no clue what it is. It certainly has a lot of sculpting on it, if it's not an original sculpture, though the ears do make me wonder if there is a Dunny head underneath all that hard work. (*** UPDATE *** It has been confirmed that the head of an 8" Dunny is the base for the sculpture.) Any which way, I can state that it looks amazing… above and beyond anything else, the gravity defying trick is fantastic.

"Most Wanted: Behind The Hype" (more information HERE) opens on May 11th (6:30-9:30PM) and runs through June 10th at the 1AM Gallery, 1000 Howard St., San Francisco, CA 94103. Participating artists are: RunDMB, Tim "timselF" Munz, Ryan the Wheelbarrow, Ardabus Rubber, JC Rivera, Grimsheep, Nikejerk, Artmymind, Gomi, Rsinart, Lickyourelbow, Pause, Chauskoskis, Uncle, Ian Ziobrowski, Matucha, Dr Befa, Chica Terremoto, Igor Ventura, Sergio Mancini, Luihz Unreal, Nevercrew, Hugh Rose, Carson Catlin, ClarkR, Muffinman, Lily Black, Megan "Me Smithy" Smithyman, Bubo, and Chris "We Become Monsters" Moore.

Phlegm's forthcoming art book to include amazing "Civilization" image!

A couple of months back, I shared pictures of the "Civilization" print by Phlegm, one of my personal favorite street artists. If — like me — you couldn't swing the $160 for the print, then the good news is that Phlegm has decided to include it in his forthcoming A4 sized art book as a full size fold out page! No word on release date or pricing, but Phlegm has announced that he "want[s] this to be a good thick book of my drawings." Personally, I can't wait for it!

Fuller's "Herbie the Love Snail" custom Dunny is nostalgic gold!

Oh my, this takes me back. If you're too young to remember Herbie the Love Bug then the joke might be lost on you, but Fuller was commissioned by someone who collects snails customized to look like race cars and this was Fuller's solution: the "Herbie the Love Snail" 3-inch Dunny. What a great concept for fulfilling such an odd request and amazingly well executed. And while this figure was a commissioned piece, so he's not for sale, you can always contact Fuller and inquire if he's currently accepting new commissions.
