More of Chica Terremoto's WIP custom Dunny for Most Wanted show at 1AM Gallery!

In a follow-up to yesterday's post of the head, we have more work-in-progress teaser pics of Chica Terremoto custom 8" Dunny for the "Most Wanted: Behind The Hype" gallery show. As you can see, the body appears to be covered in tattoos, using the same great grayscale wash style. Really loving the look of this. Oh, and in a point of correction, we've learned the Chica Terremoto is a professional tattoo artist and back of this Dunny's head (which we discussed yesterday) actually reads "Perdóname Madre por Tatuar" which means "Forgive me, Mother, for tattooing."

"Most Wanted: Behind The Hype" (more information HERE) opens on May 11th (6:30-9:30PM) and runs through June 10th at the 1AM Gallery, 1000 Howard St., San Francisco, CA 94103. Rotobox Vinyl Anatomica's "Iron Spider-Man" custom Celsius!

Rotobox Vinyl Anatomica have returned to the proverbial fountain, customizing a 6" Celsius vinyl figure into "Iron Spider-Man." For those that aren't avid Marvel Comics readers, this version of Peter Parker's costume was designed by Tony "Iron Man" Stark during Civil War, an event that pitted hero against hero over a government sponsored Super-Hero Registration Initiative. As usual, Rotobox has done a seamless custom job… everything literally looks production perfect. Unfortunately, this great piece was limited to only one copy and that has already sold, though you can always contact Rotobox and see if time allows them to undertake a commission custom job at the moment.

Trenton M's "Snide Smuglie No.4" Uglydolls custom!

Trenton M is embarking on a series of smaller size custom toys, thus trying to keep the price per piece as low as $25. Above is the first in this new wave, "Snide Smuglie No.4," a 3"-tall Uglydolls Lucky Ucky custom. While I personally prefer Trenton M's slick "business suit" customs, I applaud his decision to try to make affordable customs to satisfy fans that might not have deep pockets. "Snide Smuglie No.4" is already in Trenton M's web shop HERE and retails for $25.

Four Horsemen's Alpha Phase Outer Space Men Prototypes!

The Four Horsemen have unveiled test shots of their new Alpha Phase Outer Space Men figures! These are not the final colors, just test runs of the molds… Orbitron will be clear pink with clear green ABS accessories, Gemini will be clear yellow with clear green ABS accessories & parts, and the "Deluxe Outer Space Man" Cyclops will be clear light blue with clear green ABS parts & accessories (plus the armor will be removable!). While they are looking to have a 2012 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) release, the pre-order for these pieces will begin next week on the Four Horsemen web shop.

VISEone's custom Tube Dunnys: Mustard Edition coming soon!

Returning to what made him famous, VISEone has annouced a new series of Tube Dunny customs coming soon. As the name and picture implies, it will be a series of 3" Dunnys smothered in mustard… which begs the question in my mind if these will be proper tube dunnys or if they will have a condiment squeeze bottle pouring instead…

Rampage Toys's Cyclops Dinos coming soon!

You may recall us revealing the "Cyclops Dinos" by Jon M of Rampage Toys about a month-and-a-half ago, but the above is by far the best photo of all three one-eyed 'thunder lizards' we've seen to date. These sofubi cast vinyl pieces will stand around 2-3" tall and have 2 or 3 points of articulation each. Jon M informs us that these should be released in time for either San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) or Wonder Festival, so we can expect release before the end of July.

Fuller's "Sand Warrior" custom 3" Chuckboy Dunny!

Fuller's "Sand Warrior" custom is made from a 3" Chuckboy Dunny… one of the coolest looking production Dunnys, but also the hardest to customize well (since it has such a defined form). I think he did an outstanding job: nice detail work, brilliantly subtle shading, and the glow to his eye looks great. Fuller describes his custom character as:

[…] a mech unit that roams the sands. Many a warrior has gone into the desert looking to test their skills against him, but none have yet to return.

This figure was a commissioned piece, so he's not for sale; but you can always contact Fuller and inquire if he's currently accepting new commissions.
