*TEASER* FERG x Brandt Peters - Troubleboys no7 "Drifter", a Tomenosuke exclusive!!!!

Most of you already know that the FERG & Brandt Peters‘ "TRIGGER" exhibition went down a few months back, and was a total success... that being said, during that same show so many new figures were revealed and one of those figures that was catching the eyes of collectors all over the world was FERG and Brandt’s newest Trouble Boy: No. 7 dubbed "The Drifter!!!! This badass looking figure is a Tomenosuke-Syoten exclusive which FERG designed for them... and actually, we just got good news that "Drifter" will be completed in May and will be in the hands of collectors very soon! According to the Circus Posterus site "Brandishing two boom sticks and a tanto knife, the black-clad, eye-patched Drifter is inspired by Japan’s Yakuza with the body tatt to prove it (bring on the striptease!)." My goodness is that a rad looking figure... you gotta just love the skull, eyepatch, and translucent eye... EPIC!!! More info once it drops, so be prepared!

Limited edition "Resin Sharks" from Lunartik

Matt "Lunartik" Jones just announced that he will be releasing a run of his hand crated resin sharks!!! There will be 10 of these available, all of which were made in 2009 as a set of 40 pieces for Computer Arts Magazine, and now, Matt held those 10 back to be re-painted for a special release in 2012. Each one comes with a scribbled on CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICATION along with a resin shark and base. These will be up for grabs HERE on Friday, April 27th at 9pm GMT for $120 a piece!

"Irezumi Girls" papercraft set by Dolly Oblong

UK based artist Dolly Oblong just gave us the heads up on a collab she did with Dubai based creative studio Robot and Spark... where they plan on releasing their next resin figures (bottom image above) titled the "Irezumi Girls" in November at their BRING YOUR NEMESIS exhibition. Each toy is 16" tall, made from resin and hand painted. In the words of Robot and Spark: "They are four super-sexy, super-dangerous, superhero style vixens with tons of style and attitude. They are covered in tattoos that have been designed from famous artists and designers from all over the world." To promote the release at the Middle East Film & Comic Con (which was the past weekend) Dolly made mini paper versions (that you see in the top image) of all 4 girls: "Lipstick", "Vegas", "Suicide" and "Tequila". Together they are the Paper Irezumi Girls! To also give people outside of Dubai a chance of snatching up paper Irezumi, they are available now via Dolly's online shop HERE for only 5 euros each until May 3rd.

Skinner x Jay222 - H.P. Lovecraft "Figure-A-Month" release... "Shoggoth Slaves" dropping 04/30/2012

So who's ready for another H.P. Lovecraft inspired piece designed by artists Jay222 and Skinner... I know I am, and for this "Figure-A-Month" release... those two continue with the monster goodness know as "Shoggoth Slaves"!!! Skinner goes on to explain "The Elder Things needed someone or some "Thing" to carry out their mundane duties and such...What does an Elder Scientist do? make a race of hideous amorphous and submissive slaves...a roiling mass of hideous subservient intent...well A Shoggoth can only put up with so many millenia of slavery and then well..an uprising of course!! Shoggoth Slaves can get together and take over the massive psyclopean ruins just beyond the Mountains of Madness where they can hang out and eat the remains of Giant eyeless penguins and Elder Thing Corpses"... and as you can see, Skinner took the amazing sculpt from Jay and gave it a flurry of rainbow goodness... which really plays of the intricacies in the sculpt! This creepy creature sits much larger than the previous releases at 7" tall by 5" wide, and it comes bagged with a custom header card and features a seriously great sculpt by Jay222 where it was then painted up by Skinner... oh, and a fordable backdrop that really sets the scene! There will be only 10 of these ever made, and they are set to drop on Monday, April 30th at Noon PST via Skinner's online store HERE for just $125! "Conquest" custom Tuttz by Emily Bee

Artist Emily Bee has just sent over her most recent painted custom Tuttz figure... and unlike the others she has done in the past, sculpted by Eric of Argonaut Resins, this custom is her first 8" Tuttz, which allowed her to get much more bold with her lines and design. This piece titled "Conquest" is entirely painted by hand, with serious precision! According to Emily "Conquest has been on a difficult journey, encountering many kinds of obstacles along the way. He has looked into the face of his own fears until they no longer scare him anymore. Conquest has deep battle scars, yet through it all he has come out victorious. Perseverance and persistence has made him stronger." I really love all the tribal patterns and clean line work... and how can you not just fall in love with that color pallet?!?! Solid Gold Death Mask first teaser shown...

Rufas Dayglo of Tank Girl fame has teamed up with Ashley Wood of 3A toys to create a new collaboration titled "Solid Gold Death Mask" while not much info is known yet about the story, the first product from the pair promises that it should be interesting. Shown above this faux bronz piece is 1:6 and more than likely will be shown at the RE: Venture show premiering this Friday in Hong Kong.

"Fizzul, friend of the mushrooms" custom 3" Dunny by TheLozBoz

Laura C. aka TheLozBoz has been firmly planted in the plush scene for quite some time now... touring local UK conventions with her hand made sushi bunny plush toys and plush potted tentacles. All that being said, she has some serious talent so why not carry that over to custom vinyl... which is exactly what she did! Above is an awesome image of her first custom 3" Dunny titled "Fizzul, friend of the mushrooms". This fantastic looking, cheerful creature, is packed full of some serious detailed sculpting on top of a quality paint application which really brings it to life! According to Laura, "Fizzul" will be up for grabs via her online store HERE tomorrow at 12pm PST! Needless to say this won't last long, so if you dig it... buy it when the time is right! Oh, and on a separate, but equal note... Laura is the better half of UK's ow Squink!, so yo can see that there is something in the water that gives them super art powers!!!

How about another cryptic teaser from Plaseebo... and why not?!?!?! Bob Conge of Plaseebo just sent over a rough sketch of what appears to be a new figure in the works... with a loose title being "Ho No HD2", and honestly I am at a loss. I really don't have anything else to go on with the image above other than it looks to be a creepy humanoid figure with a couple different variant heads... maybe a collab?!?!? Time will most certainly tell... and until then, marinate on the above photo and enjoy your nightmares :-)

When we first revealed Walter "Chauskoskis" Jacott's custom Playsam Streamliner Classic for the upcoming "PLAYSAM 500" group show at Super7, we were impressed by the design, concept and execution. But now that it is done, we are beyond impressed… way beyond impressed. This is a true thing of beauty and creativity. Blurble x Rampage Toys x Monstreuses Studios's Gusto figure!

Talk about your all-star kaiju collaborations… designed by Blurble, sculpted by Jon M of Rampage Toys, and cast in resin by Monstreuses Studios, "Gusto" (pictured above) is limited to an initial release of five hand-painted pieces as well as a DIY/Blank release. The figure appears to be articulated on both arms and at the waist, but it's his retro pants and skeevy sneer that sell me on this piece. While the price is unknown, the pieces will be released on Saturday, April 28th at 11AM PST in Blurble's web shop.

Menace Inc. Studio's "Space Case" custom Android figure!

Menace Inc. Studios recently did his first custom Android figure, called the "Space Case." Unfortunately, photos don't do the depth of this design justice; the background isn't a simple black but rather a carefully applied layering of transparent pink, purple and blue, which give a feel of depth to the space. Then the infamous "Kirby Krackle" (named after comic artist Jack Kirby) was creating using a variety of colored POSCA markers. The finished product looks great and it is no wonder that the $40 figure sold out of Menace's web shop immediately. We're told he is planning to do more Android customs in the future, but you can always contact him and commission one as well.

Peter Kato's Metal Fusion Turtle Tetsujins exclusively at myplasticheart!

Wow, I'm loving the look of these new Peter Kato colorways for his "Metal Fusion Turtle Tetsujin." The classic robotic look is very appealing in general, but that transparent orangish resin really does it for me, like some nuclear energy powering the beast. I think I like the Metal Fusion Silver (right) better than the Orange version (left), but it's a close call. Not only are these these 2.5"-tall figures hand-cast, but they are completely hand-painted in metallic colors… including that myplasticheart logo in their chests. They are dropping tomorrow (Thursday, April 26th) exclusively in the myplasticheart web shop (and physical location, if you live in NYC).

Gary Ham's "Some Play in Autumn" PLAYSAM custom for the show at Super7!

The creaking of a tire swing as it rhythmically goes back and forth, the leaves upon the ground in various shades of yellow and orange and brown… all raked into a pile, ready to be pounced upon. If you didn't grow up in the city, then your childhood probably contained some of the above elements. And, obviously, Gary Ham's did; as his "Some Play in Autumn" custom Playsam Streamliner Classic for the upcoming "PLAYSAM 500" group show at Super7 attests. Considering the show is a charity fundraiser for the World Childhood Foundation, I think the theme Ham chose is extremely appropriate and his execution looks great. I'm particularly fond of the miniature tire swing, it's the little touch that helps sell the whole piece.

KNGL's piece for Pimp My Mary II at Gallery EXP.

Pictured is KNGL's piece for the Pimp My Mary II group exhibit, which will be housed in the private collection of Gallery EXP. and possibly tour Italy in the coming months. KNGL did a wonderful job resculpting the base statuette with additional arms and the Gene Simmons-esqe tongue. While it's not my taste, I can completely see the skill and effort it took to make it… and respect the final product for that work. Kudos to KNGL for his creation.

Graham Erwin x Mondo's Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas poster!

From the opening number to the closing scene, Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas was a phenomenon that became an obsession for a generation. Now Mondo in collaboration with Sideshow Collectibles is releasing the above pictured print by Graham Erwin, which prominently features the lovable two-faced politician The Mayor on it. This 12" x 36" screenprint is limited to 325 hand-numbered copies and will retail for $50 each. It will be released at some point today (Wednesday, April 25th), so — if you're interested — you should follow Mondo's twitter feed to receive the announcement of when it goes on sale in their online shop.

Nathan Hamill's "Skario Cart" PLAYSAM custom for the show at Super7!

Nathan Hamill's custom Playsam Streamliner Classic for the upcoming "PLAYSAM 500" group show at Super7 is, appropriately enough, called "Skario Cart." Obviously a jest on the popular "Mario Cart" game, it's too bad the above pics are so dark… too difficult to see the detail on the Mario head. Regardless, I love the idea and execution looks fantastic!
