Chris Ryniak x Rotofugi x Squibbles Ink - New "Mud Puddle" Snybora figure dropping 4/27/2012

Well... I tried to work the teaser tip for just a bit by posting Chris Ryniak's new Snybora figure HERE earlier today, but the folks over at Rotofugi decided to rain on my parade and posted up the full reveal an hour later... Oh well :-)!! So, Rotofugi and Squibbles Ink have just announced the release of the "Mud Puddle" Snybora... and this cool looking figure features a very earthy tone as it's cast is tan vinyl and then painted with a burnt sienna rub and dark brown sprays... and to top it off... a matte finish with glossy eyes. As mentioned earlier, this will have a price tag of $35 each and will be available HERE this Friday, April 27 at 11am central time.

“Keg O’ Boom” resin figure from The Given... wants to explode into your collection!!!

As many of you probably know... or at least you will now... South Africa has a pretty 'booming' designer toy scene and now they officially have their first locally produced and manufactured Designer Resin Toy, “Keg O’ Boom” from The Given. "Keg O’ Boom" is a really cool stylized powder-keg which makes the perfect shape for a body with arms and legs, and it's the realization of years worth of idea’s, planning and hard work from Cape Town artist and designer; The Given, and now this super limited edition resin figure is up for grabs!

There are just 50 pieces of this figure made and according to The Given, 1 in every 5 of these figures is a rare Glow in the Dark Variant and there is also a rumor that there will be one ultra rare hand painted figure. The figure will be available during a pre-order period of 1 month for the surprisingly low amount of R150... and if you are like me, you have no idea what R150 is, so I did a little conversion and this works out to be about $20!!!! A great deal if you ask me! The only problem I see with this figure is that there is no online store and you have to wire money via their site HERE... which unfortunately will be a huge deterrent for most buyers. You can head over to HERE for more information... and ultimately, if you dig it, figure out a way to buy this figure and support the artist.

AW177's MAD*L custom for the Tenacious Toys x London Candy Company show!

AW177 completely outdid himself on his 10" custom MAD*L for "The Candy-Coated Custom Show." This piece, entitled "Eyes of the Dragon," turned the normal vinyl platform into a working gumball machine. Honestly, if you put a quarter in and turn the handle then a gumball comes out… well, either a gumball or a silver marble…
During the opening reception for the show, AW177 placed two marbles into the custom. If you were lucky enough to pull a marble, then you received a free t-shirt from him. Needless to say, not only is this a great concept but an outstanding, functioning custom!

"The Candy-Coated Custom Show," organized by Tenacious Toys, is currently up & available for viewing for two weeks at The London Candy Company, 1442 Lexington Ave. at 94th St., New York, NY 10128.
