Help Patricio Oliver pick his next toy to be made!!!!
You read it right folks, Patricio Oliver is asking for your help on a very serious decision... what figure should be made into a toy next! It looks like he is teaming up with Unbox Industries once again, but instead of just going for it... they are letting the community voice their opinion... and it will be heard! I personally like all these creatures he has created, as I dig the entire world of PO!'s "The Tenebrae"... but if I had to choose one... I can't actually just pick one, so it would have to be between that rad looking "Incu Boh" or "Droffus"!!!! Which do you like... don't tell me... instead head on over HERE right now to cast your vote!

Simpsons "Bart Slasher" x Santa Scruz Skateboard
I would like to start this post out by saying, I don't skate..I had hoped I could be a mean roller derby bitch but that may take some time to accomplish. I don't know the first thing about skateboarding so I won't pretend to. I did however see this rad 'Bart Slasher' over at Santa Cruz Skateboards. I dig and maybe some of you legit skateboarder folks will too. Here's the link. Also, they have a few other cool Simsponfied wheelz in the collection; The Homer, Bart Model, Homer One, Duff Pintai, Homer One Micro, Duff Can... BAM!!!

Fugi.me x Robotic Industries - Resin figure teaser!!!
Well it looks like the folks over at FUGI.ME are not only taking on the limited edition print realm, but the resin realm as well as per the teaser they recently posted showing off a hand reaching up from the abyss that reads "A limited edition resin piece from Robotic Industries"! Now, you may remember Robotic Industries mentioned in conjunction with RAJE Toys, as the mastermind behind this is Jim Freckingham, who is involved with both companies. It looks like Jim is going to work on a new figure, and FUGI.ME is going to be releasing them... can't wait to see this beaut!!!

Trampt launched 'Conversations'... now start talking!
Last September Trampt was launched, and since then Keegan and Blake have been working very hard to make a variety of improvements across the site. They have added things like user feeds and commenting, portfolio following, reputation & badging, notifications, referrals, moderator controls, and many new admin functions. Over that same period, they have also managed to add 17,000+ new items to their growing library.. with all that said, they are happy to announce the next big advancement to their site... Conversations!
So what is Conversations? Simply put, Conversations is a tool that gives our members a voice on the site. A conversation can be started around an item in the library or a newspost, or alternatively, you can create a completely free-form discussion. These open conversations allow you to discuss such things as new releases, planning meetups, arranging trades, showing off your collection, or anything else you can imagine, while building a stronger and more tightly-knit art community. For artists / manufacturers / galleries - you can use this for showing off works in progress, promoting upcoming events & shows, or use it as a way to compare techniques or solicit feedback from each other or the community at large.
Are you still reading this, yet are not a member of Trampt?!?! Head on over HERE now and sign up... as this is the most extensive data base for art and designer toy collections, not to mention all that great stuff mentioned above!

ViseOne does 'Calvin & Hobbes'
With so many talented artists creating customs each day, every now and then a custom piece comes along that makes you stand up and notice while harkening back to your younger days. ViseOne not only transports us back to the lazy and adventure filled life of Bill Watterson's Calvin & Hobbes - but the detail that he put into the custom simply makes one smile and be astounded at the same time. Part of ViseOne's continuing "Comic Stripped" series, this new 16" Toy2R Qee custom is another fine example of his work and talent. Departing from the hero genre and focusing on one of pop culture's loveable duos, here is a custom that captures the essence perfectly! ViseOne tells us that he has not decided yet if this piece is for sale - but offers start at €650 or $850 - including shipping. If someone is interested he/she can contact ViseOne via contact@viseone.de!

Custom "Captain Sturnbrau" Qee by J.C. Rivera
Who's ready for another round of J.C. Rivera's awesome customs... I know I am, and this go around he has tackled one of Jon-Paul Kaiser's new "Captain Sturnbrau" Qee and turned it into his own custom colorful creation! I love how painted this guy up, those colors work so well on this already awesome figure and it's great to see the added sculpted skull on the hat... a nice touch indeed! This custom is actually up for grabs via J.C.'s online store HERE right now... so go grab him, yarrrrrr!

INSA x Sophy Robson x NailPorn design competition! Do you have what it takes?
I know we have some amazing artists around these parts, but how would you do at doing… finger nail paintings?!? The ever-so-sensual INSA has teamed up with UK-based nail artist Sophy Robson and her online site NailPorn to bring you quite the design competition: create a set of INSA-inspired nails (like those seen above) and submit 'em. But what do you win? The winner will have their design prominently displayed as a banner on the NailPorn site for one month plus they'll receive a one-of-a-kind signed artist proof INSA print in mint & purple, an INSA t-shirt, and a Sophy Robson goodie bag. The close date for the competition is April 30th and you can find out how to enter HERE.
Nikejerk's Headless Horseman & Albino Tiger Cub Kidrobot Dunny Production Submissions!
Nikejerk has recently submitted two designs to Kidrobot for possible production, both based off of customs that he's previously made (which is what the pictures next to the design templates are). Above is the "Albino Tiger Cub" dunny, which — if memory serves — was a one-off piece he originally did for a collector of customs as tigers. While as a singular piece of art it is outstanding, I can't say it thrills me as a production design. Sorry, Nikejerk. But his other submission, on the other hand, must be made!
This is Nikejerk's classic and unforgettable contribution to the Most Wanted Series 2 set and the little details he notes on the production template make it even more desirable: excised (as in cut out) eyes, nose and mouth would make it look sharp and the removable head being attached by a magnet? Amazing! I'm seriously considering starting a write-in campaign to Kidrobot on this one. Who's with me?!?

"Bad Ass Vending Machine" custom Sketchbot
It's been quite some time since we have seen any custom Sketchbots cross our paths... but that's about to change as artist RedPrime shares with us today his rad custom Sketchbot titled "Bad Ass Vending Machine"... and how fitting! We are told by RedPrime that there is no real story attached to this custom other than the fact that he is a vending machine that got sick and tired of being kicked around... and I am alright with that! This piece turned out exceptionally well, and i really dig the fact that he built in a little window display and created an actually vending type environment inside the Sketchbot's belly... really cool! If you dig what you see, it's available to pick up HERE right now... so don't delay!

DMS's Fatcap "Spraycan Mecha" WIP pics!
DMS is at it again! He's shared some pictures of his work-in-progress "Spraycan Mecha," which appears to be a Fatcap sitting in a spraycan top. What a wonderfully brilliant idea! There's not really much to see yet, as DMS admits he's "just started on it really" so "it'll be a little while yet" before the piece really takes shape. He does refer to the above as a "control & cockpit area," which leaves the question: What will this little guy be driving? Will it be a mecha proper, like the T42 was, or a pod, like this recent guy? Personally, I'm hoping for a mecha proper, since I missed out on getting a T42 when they were offered.
Chauskoskis's completed custom for the Play Imaginative x Disney Mickey Mouse show!
The other day we gave you a teaser of Chauskoskis's "Walt Mouse" for the Play Imaginative x Disney custom Mickey Mouse group show and, had we known he was going to complete it this quickly, we would've waited. Damn, he's not only great at customizing but fast too! The finished paint job is stellar, with all those fine thread lines on the clothing and the imagined depth everything has… heck, I can't tell if those pockets are painted on or sculpted, which says volumes right there. The head sculpt, which we snuck a peak at previously, remains pristine and I love the way the hairline curves up. Plus, a quill pen accessory?!? C'mon, give the other customizers a chance, man.
To view more pictures of this fantastic piece, check out the photo set that Chauskoskis created in his Flickr account.

Nerviswr3ck's "Where the f**k is that Abe… Here boy!" Oddworld custom for Vinyl Thoughts 2!
So when we posted Nerviswr3ck's "Don't f**k with me" custom the other day, we thought: "Okay, seriously, this guy's gotta be done. There's no way he can top this." But — silly us — we forgot he was already working on another piece that we had teased: "Where the f**k is that Abe… Here boy!" And, damn him, it's simply amazing.
Based off the video game series Oddworld, we have a security guard slig who seems to be industriously searching for our hero, Abe; but Abe is a crafty one, hiding in a barrel… no one ever looks there! If you haven't guessed already, this is Nerviswr3ck's contribution for tonight's Vinyl Thoughts 2 group show. But this isn't really a custom, it's a sculpture; Nerviswr3ck crafted all parts from scratch, no platforms or mashed kits used at all. I could point out every amazing detail, but you've got working eyes so just look at it and be in awe.
Vinyl Thoughts 2 is a one-night show on Thursday, March 15th from 7PM until 11PM at The Quixotic World, 2824 Main St., Dallas, TX 75226.

Claw Money's 1xRUN print, ToTT poker chips & KRNY signing!
If you live in New York and the name Claw Money means nothing to you, then please kindly turn in your Driver's License and move to another state; Claw Money — also known as fashion designer Claudia Gold — has been scrawling her iconic cat claw symbol on NY Streets for nearly 30 years now. Not only a pioneer in graffiti work, she's also one of the first women to be associated with the art form.
Claw Money has partnered up with ToTT Global to release specially designed poker chips, sold in sets of 50 pieces with container and fun little card. A set of these will set you pack $19.98, but what if your tastes are a little more… limited. Limited edition, that is; because 1xRUN has partnered up also and produced only 40 copies of a "Liquor in the front… Poker in the rear" screenprint by the artist. This two-tone print is presented as an 11.75" x 12.75" signed & numbered rarity that comes with a set of the poker chips… all for only $50.
And, tonight, at Kidrobot New York, Claw Money will be doing a signing from 6PM to 8PM. We're told that not only will they have poker chip sets on hand to sell, but that they'll also have an exclusive purple colorway of the screenprint.

11-year-old designer toy phenom JAMS's Mutation X51Z is loose!
As we reported the other day, Jacob Siegelbaum aka JAMS (or Jacob JAMS) has a new piece to release only a month after his first: Mutation X51Z. I adore the look of this mutant slug, leech, thing… Cast in resin, the figure is 2.5" tall and 3.5" long, which makes the cost per piece at $15 insanely low! Go snatch them up in Translucent Amber, Creamy Blue, Translucent Blue (shown above), Translucent Purple, Creamy Yellow, Translucent Yellow, or — for those customizers out there — DIY White. All these and more are available in JAMS's new online store.
(Thanks to Tenacious Toys for bringing this to our attention.)

JFury's custom Dragonball Z Foomi & Triumph the Insult Dog Dunny!
JFury was recently commissioned to do a couple of customs and… um, we seem to have posted the wrong images here. No, seriously, where are the clowns? C'mon guys, stop foolin' around and… what do you mean these are the right images?!? Really and honestly? Excellent! Obviously I'm teasing poor JFury, since he's done quite a few non-clown pieces previously; but, let's face it, that has become his trademark look.
Above we have a Foomi that has been customized into infamous anti-hero Vegeta from the Dragonball Z series. JFury blew this up, the tradition costume of the character is done perfectly and his hair screams anime character. The sneering mouth and icy eyes are just the icing on this already perfect cake. Bravo!
And a Dunny that has been re-sculpted into Triumph the Insult Dog from Conan O'Brien's various late night shows. The sculpted pieces look sharp and on mark, except for that hat; maybe it is the angle of the photos, but it's shape isn't quite right and the indent lines on the top are off-putting. But all the paint seems to be amazingly tight, so we'll forgive a little misstep.
While these pieces are already sold commissions, you can commission JFury yourself to do a piece through his web store.

LLADNAR's Zombie Mickey Mouse for Play Imaginative x Disney custom show!
Randall Smith aka LLADNAR's "Zombie Mickey Mouse" is bound for Singapore, ready to desire brains in a whole new country… or, at least, entertain people in the Play Imaginative x Disney group Mickey Mouse custom show. LLADNAR is mainly a canvas painter during his artistic ventures, but that doesn't hinder him from really embracing the three-dimensions this figure offer him to tackle. He's done absolutely wonderful job of controlled splattering and dirtying across this figure, which is no where near as easy to do as it looks. His detail points, like the eyes and the pants buttons, seem flat to me; the shading he's put into them being a little overly strong and unblended. But wonderful bite mark on the ear, surely the source of this infection that has overtaken your favorite mouse and mine.
