Luke Chueh's "Bearing the Unbearable" art book is on the horizon!

The long-awaited "Bearing the Unbearable: The Art of Luke Chueh" book appears to be eminent. Above are pics Chueh shared on his Twitter feed of all the proof pages and the dustjacket cover. But wait… what's this? Pictures of Luke Chueh signing Signature Sheets for the books?!?

That's right! This book will continue the print partnership between Gallery1988 and Titan Books, and we're assuming that the signed edition will be a Gallery1988 exclusive with the unsigned edition being readily available elsewhere. If Amazon is to be trusted, the book has a retail price of $34.95, clocks in at 160 pages, and will be released on June 5th.

Decommissioned follow-up! Preview pics of the DrilOne x Cris Rose collab!

Even though we are still at least a day away from a proper announcement, DrilOne has been a bad boy and unleashed a couple of teaser pics from Decommissioned — the collaboration between him and Cris Rose that we announced earlier today. These pics come courtesy of DrilOne's Twitter feed, so you might want to start following him lest you not see more as they become available.

Woodward Windows: Detroit's artistic renovation by Tristan Eaton, TrustoCorp, AVONE, Ron English & more

Almost a year ago, the first phase of the Woodward Windows project was born. The idea was to fill the vacant & abandoned business spaces on the historic Woodward Ave. in Detroit with art. Many of the sad spaces were given new vibrancy & life and now, with the addition of 15 new artists, the project is really taking form. In the above picture, you can see the former Michigan National Bank transformed by pieces by Tristan Eaton & TrustoCorp and, as show below, AVONE & Ron English.

Other artists that appear in the project? Amy Kaherl, Beau Stanton, Benny Gold, Ellis G., Fel3000ft, Gregory Holm, Hygienic Dress League, icon, Jason Vaughn, Kimyon Huggins, Kobie Solomon, Lauren Rassel, Malt, Meca, Mike Giant, Rift, Sean Desmond, Shauna Ruttan, Sintex, Tom Thewes, and Vanessa Miller.

Shez's "Toy Soldier" Custom Munny is absolutely amazing

Do you remember those halcyon days of yore when — in your youth — what seemed like literal tons of tiny plastic toy soldiers were scattered about your room, enacting complex military maneuvers against one another, the folks of blankets being a rough & harried battlefield for them to clash upon? Well, Bryan Bramley aka Shez certainly does… and he's remolded his childhood recollections into an absolutely stunning "Toy Soldier" custom 4" Munny.

In line with some of his other recent work, like the Tankcap custom, the military theme is as obvious as the amount of time & effort put into making the piece absolutely stunning. The helmet is fully made out of super sculpey and remains removable, just like the gun which has a plastic base and sculpey detailing. The whole piece was spray painted green and then lightly brushed with some acrylic paint in order to achieve that lightly worn finish you'd expect out of a played with toy soldier. I think we can all agree that Shez is certainly one to watch, which you can do: at Facebook, on Twitter, and/or on Instagram.

"Toy Soldier" will be making his first public appearance at the "Triforce Conspiracy" three-person art show which opens on February 18th and runs through March 11th at Darkside Records & Gallery, 782 Main St., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.

Inga Guzyte's Skateboard Art Show at Suede Studios

Usually when an art show is announced, details are fairly common. This is not the case with Inga Guzyte's Skateboard Art Show at Suede Studios which opens February 18th. All that is known is the artist, the medium, the show title, the location, and the opening time… that's it. For all we know, the show is one night only. So, if you live in the Los Angeles area, get your butt out there and see some amazing works.

"Skateboard Art Show" opens on February 18th at Suede Studios, 133 East 3rd St., Los Angeles, CA 90013.

Decommissioned: A DrilOne x Cris Rose Project… rusty sprogs forthcoming

So we love Cris Rose; who wouldn't, the man hand-casts amazing robots called Sprogs that any sane person would want to own. And we love DrilOne; because we're not stupid and even an idiot can see that man's talent at making amazingly stressed & rustified customs. So you tell me that the two are collaborating together on a project called "Decommissioned" and my heart flutters. But what is it? The two are being tight-lipped until the official announcement this weekend, but I'm thinking it has to do with this:

The above image comes from DrilOne's Flickr feed and he posted it to his Twitter with the message: "Hands are starting to rust @crisr." So he tags Cris Rose in the comment and, why yes, those are a horde of Sprogs that DrilOne is working on. I'm sure the more details we get, the more excited we'll be… I just know you can already sign me up for one of those bad boys!

The Loyal Subjects x Gary Baseman - The "Buckingham Warrior" vinyl figure... in Green!

Back in January of 2011, we posted up a photo HERE of Adam from The Loyal Subjects posing for an interview... and in the foreground there were some new, yet to be revealed, figures from Gary Baseman... and today we finally get to see what that figure is! Introducing the "Buckingham Warrior" from the Wolyner Forest... a fantastic new creation from the mind of Baseman! The figure itself has a pretty deep backstory, which can be found HERE, and one thing that is impressive to me the thought that went into the creation of this!

It is impressive in size, measuring in at 12" tall this spiky fella features several points of articulation (including the adjoining heads, arms and legs), and comes packaged in a closed, satin finished box. This "Green" edition is the first to drop and will be limited to only 400 pieces worldwide and will retail for $115 a piece... quite a hefty number, then again... this figure is BIG! These are going to go up for pre-sale HERE on Wednesday, February 22nd, at Noon PST, and will ship out in April. Oh... and they mention other colorways will follow... I wonder if they will look like the ones pictured HERE? I wold love to know your thoughts on this piece folks... are you in or out... leave me a message below!

Skinner x Jay222 - H.P. Lovecraft "Figure-A-Month" release... "Brown Jenkins"

So who's ready for another H.P. Lovecraft inspired piece designed by artists Jay222 and Skinner... I know I am, and for this "Figure-A-Month" release, Skinner goes on to explain "This is the second release in Jay222 and my Lovecraft figure project which works as a kind of education about Lovecraft regarding non CTHULHU stuff because that seems like all that people associate the name with...Brown Jenkins is from a story called, Dreams in The Witch House... A story about an old witch, her family, and a college student who is going to learn that sorcery and mathematics do mix... the hard way"... and as you can see, that said sorcery created "Brown Jenkins"! This creepy creature sits 4.5" tall, comes bagged with a custom header card and features a seriously great sculpt by Jay222 where it was then painted up by Skinner! There will be only 10 of these ever made, and they are set to drop on Monday, February 20th at Noon PST via Skinner's online store HERE for just $100! These will be in high demand, so pull the trigger on this, because once the others drop... and you miss this one, you will be kicking yourself for sure!

You know The Walking Dead; either from the hit AMC TV show or the original comic book or the NYTimes bestselling novel or… I'm just going to assume you know Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead. Well, now watch visionaries Vannen have teamed up with Skybound (Kirkman's production company) to produce a limited edition timepiece based on the comic book. Aside from the teaser image shown above, information is a tad scant… but the release date is set for February 24th. Assume leaks of the actual watch to happen shortly.
