Scott Radke's Mermaid issues a sirens call to collectors

This one-of-a-kind mixed media marionette sculpture by Scott Radke, the second to be released by him the week, is certain to become one of his definitive works. Entitled "Mermaid," the piece is of a wonderfully hand-crafted half-woman, half-fish cradling her wee offspring.

What the picture doesn't show you is the scope of this piece… She measures a hair over 4 feet tall and a foot-and-a-half wide. "Mermaid" has already sold to some extremely lucky collector, but Radke continues to produce amazing work so keep an eye on his website and/or Facebook page for newer (and possibly better?) things to come…

"The Corporal" custom 8" Dunny by Trust Pigs

Check out this custom 8" Dunny recently completed by Nick aka Trust Pigs. Named "The Corporal", this custom was one of his first and although it is slightly rough around the edges in some places, it really is quite rad considering it was his first crack at tearing up a Dunny. He tells us that he used old 12" G.I.Joe figure parts that had to be slightly modified for size, and I really do like that little helmet balancing on the one ear... it's a nice touch, and Nick tells us that during customization, he actually broke the arm of the Dunny, glued it back into place, and the used the gauze as no ! This piece was one of 5 others that Nick did for the Dream in Plastic Custom Toy Show 2... and according to Nick, remains unsold... so go grab this up! You can find more of Nick's work via his site HERE, and you can follow him on twitter @trustpigs HERE.
