"ERV" GID Hedoran release from Bwana Spoons
Hey all you Grass Hut Freaks.... and I say that of course as a term of endearment :-) Bwana Spoons is set to release this Friday, January 20th at Noon PST a handful of Gargamel's GID Hedorans' that he fully customized with loads of colorful sprays in a release that he is calling the "ERV" or "Earth Restroyer Revenge"... not quite sure where that "V" fits in, but I'll take Bwana's word for it! Above you can see a few photos of them all bagged up, as well as a much needed bath they all took before getting a nice coat of paint... a must for customizing vinyl! These will be available HERE at the above date and time... don't miss out!

SketOne's case exclusive for FatCap Series 3
We are about a week out from the official release of Kidrobot's FatCap Series 3, and already images are starting to emerge of this great looking series... and thanks to MyPlasticHeart in NYC we have the above picture of a rare case exclusive figured designed by SketOne. The gold covered FatCap is just one of two of this particular design in this series and it features the Sherwin-Williams logo as well as a chain link body pattern with a paint can spilling over the head of the figure... a really cool addition to the FatCap line for sure. Sket tells us that the black-n-gold was created for his love of the SAINTS football team, and the Laker (the more common version) was to celebrate his move out west to Los Angeles... RAD! One thing to note about this series is that each seems to have additional sculptural element to them... in part thanks to Kidrobot for pushing the production limits, and also to the artists for coming up with these great design ideas!

*RECAP* Martin Hsu's "Dragon Boy" @ Dragatomi
Last weekend, Saturday, January 14th 2012, at Dragatomi in Sacramento CA. was the opening of a solo exhibit featuring the works of Martin Hsu, titled "Dragon Boy", which featured a series of paintings depicting the adventures of a boy in dragon suit on his way to find his roots in a foreign land. The show looked amazing, and a ton of Martin's fan came out to show their support! Martin also debuted his "Dragon Boy" designer toy prototype that evening of the opening, and as you can see from the above photos... this figure, once produced, is going to be a must for any collection! There are still some pieces available HERE, and if you want to see all the rad pieces Martin created upclose, hit the link HERE! "Dragon Boy" will be on display until February 4th, 2012... so stop by and check it out in person!

If Mango's and Marshmallow's were men... new resin figures from 'Robots and Cereals'
Philippine artist Eric Ella of 'Robots and Cereals' just announced the release of his first set of designer toys... "The Crazy Mango Man" and "The Abominable Marshmallow Man". These figures are part of their "POSBOT" line, which were sculpted and painted by Eric Michael Ella and Hanna Kristine Seguerra. The figures stand 3.5" tall, or 4" when displayed with base, and will be limited to 30 pieces each worldwide. Now when looking at these I can see some major influences going on... specifically in the paint job that is very similar to what you would see on most 3A figures. These figures are all hand cast, molded, hand painted, and boxed with care... and each toy comes with a sculpted bag, a half inch thick round black base and a 3.5" x 8" poster! All of this can be yours for just $60 each, excluding shipping cost. If you are interested in these figures you can contact them directly via robotsandcereals@yahoo.com or through their Facbook page HERE.

*REVIEW* ESC Toys "Moon Jumper" Wet-Suit Maria
When I made the trip to NYCC 2011 last year I hooked up with the man behind ESC Toys Erick Scarecrow and he very graciously handed over his newest (at that time) Wet-Suit Maria vinyl figure, and this particular version is the "Moon Jumper" colorway! Limited to only 50 pieces worldwide, this made it's first appearance during NYCC 2011 and was a HUGE hit amongst fans. The figure itself stands 6" tall and comes in a window box display that features art by Erick, where the figure itself sits in a blister tray for protection.
Now this is the 5th colorway of this particular figure and a few characteristics that set this apart from the others is the fantastic metallic color scheme. The bronze'ish colors and the silver'ish colors really pop and give meaning to why these are called the "Moon Jumper" edition! Oh, and although they don't look like they should stand or balance, they actually do a very great job at that! They retailed during the convention for $39.99, and there are actually a few left in stock HERE for $45... and by a few, I mean it! This whole figure line is recommended by me to pick up, as are all of Erick's products... quality all around. So do yourself a favor, watch the LIVE review above, and then pull the trigger on this rad figure HERE.

Take My Energy aka TME.. the first Russian toy label
Way back in June of 2011 we posted up a prototype figure from Kazakhstan Den Kazakov and Russian artist Alexander Bud’Kin dubbed "Duckyboy". Well now they have teamed up on a much grander level to form the first Russian toy label called 'TAKE MY ENERGY'! They plan on focusing on the pre-production, prototyping, and production of vinyl toys and sculptures... they also mention that their company plans on making small runs of limited edition resin figures... and above are just a few examples of what they are working on now! For more information, hit up their site HERE, and with a little help from Google Translate you can follow their progress :-)
