Opening this Saturday, January 14th at
Dragatomi in Sacramento CA., is a solo exhibit featuring the works of
Martin Hsu, titled "Dragon Boy". Dragon Boy, a series of paintings depicting the adventures of a boy in dragon suit on his way to find his roots in a foreign land. Martin has been working on a ton of new pieces for this show, all of which aim to remind everyone to never forget the joy of being a kid, flying high, and smiling big!
The show itself will be chalked full of bright vivid imagery (
just look at the WIP pic above) as Martin takes his viewers on a visual journey. Martin will also be debuting his "Dragon Boy" designer toy prototype that evening of the opening... a figure that looks to be a show stopper for 2012. "Dragon Boy" opens this Saturday January 14th from 7pm-10pm and will continue to be on display until February 4th, 2012.

Awwwww yeah... 2012 brings great news for all you Star Wars fans out there, and based off the success of
Super7's last Star Wars saga Jumbo Machinder figure, the
Super Shogun Storm Trooper, I know that this release is going to be just as big... maybe even bigger! Boba Fett, the intergalactic bounty hunter, is set to be released in the same Jumbo Machinder fashion... and the silhouette above just proves it! More on this very soon... and from the sound of it 2012 is looking to be a banner year for
Super7... so buckle up!

Kingplayer.de they have just announced a new, loveable, vinyl figure... just in time for the New Year! This LARGE 8" designer vinyl figure is based on the
1000 Teddies installation, which brings
Philipp Jordan's (
who has an awesome website I might add) teddy from canvas to the third dimension. 1000 Teddies - an installation consisting of 1000 canvases of various formats. Displayed in a large room, the images come to life and unfurl their power... and as you can see in the image below... what a grand exhibition it was!
It's a really cool concept, and I feel as though the figure does Philipp's 2D work justice... in fact, it's pretty crazy the amount of similarities there are between the figure and the 2D work. The colors, the texture of the bear, the shading, the expression... it all translated over very well! The figure itself is
limited to just 400 pieces, and can be picked up

Like cats? Like custom Dunny's? Well... you are in luck because
Tim Munz and the rest of the 'Most Wanted' crew have put together a little fundraiser sale to help raise money to benefit a kitty that was recently rescued by Timself, who had some crazy emergency vet bills! It's an all cat themed 3" Dunny series titled "
all CATS" (
kind of like "all caps" hence the "cats" in all caps, lol). Only 7 artists, 6 of which are doing one each, and Tim is doing 5 different designs. They have the talents such as:
RunDMB, Betso, Igor Ventura, Map-Map, Matucha, Luihz Unreal, and
Tim Munz on board.
The series itself will drop in a week or so, but right now they are
selling small prints exclusively made for this series. Pause designed them, and Tim printed them by hand. Each print comes with a raffle ticket that will give you an opportunity to win either a free blind box from the series, or a very rare wood version of the print.
