Lou Pimentel's painting for Super Cooper Berella's party at Munky King!

Lou Pimentel's contribution to the "Memories Are Made Of This" group art show, pictured above, is entitled "Cubeman." Fitting easily into the show's theme of childhood recollections, this piece reminds me of not only the Rubik's Cube but also the hordes of M.U.S.C.L.E. men I had in my own youth. Done with Pimentel's typical photographic beauty, I love that this instantly does take me back to thoughts of those carefree days of childhood… I don't know if it would work for everyone, but it certainly worked for me.

"Memories Are Made Of This" opens on August 18th, 2012 with a reception from 4-8PM. It doubles as a 13th Birthday celebration for Super Cooper Berella and a final "Hurrah!" for Munky King before they close their Melrose location at the end of the month.
