Last night marked the opening of
Toy Art Gallery's final show of 2011 and talk about going out with a bang as they opened their doors to the magnificent artistic sculptures from Barcelona's own
Quim Tarrida in "If You Blink, You'll Miss It"! This show was very significant in not only the pieces that were on display but it was also Quim's first exhibition in the United States, and he came out to setup the gallery and meet fans for the opening night festivities!
Thanks to the photographic work of
Ryan Rescober we have all these rad exclusive shots before the show actually opened to the public and as you can see the gallery space was filled with Quim's amazing pieces! The exhibition featured a series of sculptural pieces, limited ceramic editions, and drawings, notable among which are classical pieces from his iconography, such as
Subsub Family,
The Soldier,
Subcutanian Ninja,
Oh Gaar, or his latest productions,
Relaxing in Blue and
The Monkey Knows... and check out that MASSIVE
8 foot tall SOLDIER figure that Quim is posing next to... a must-see-in-person piece!!!! "If You Blink, You'll Miss It" will be up until December 30th... so if you are in the LA area, don't miss out on this show as you can very well see it may be one of the more unique art shows to hit the designer toy scene! Hit the jump for a full photo slide show from the event!

Tonight is the BIG night... as the opening of
Dragatomi's “Spirits of the Mountain” solo show featuring all new works from
Bigfoot is going down in Sacramento! Along with the unveiling of Bigfoot’s newest designer resin figure “
Fujisan” - which there will be 20 of them on hand - there will also be tons of hand painted wooden panels, prints, paintings... and above is just a glimpse of what you can come to expect by attending the opening tonight at 7pm! I can tell you one
Brin Berliner (
sculptor of Fujisan) sure is stoked for this show, as he came out a day early to check out the setup and to hang out with Joanne of Dragatomi and Mr. Foot himself (
picture to the left)! Oh, and don't forget, according to Bigfoot those who come down from the mountains to the show with BIGFOOT green leaf make-up formations around their eyes will receive a
FREE POSTER and
sketch from the man himself... incentive to put on make-up... I think so!!!!! This show is a must see in person for sure... so if you are in the Sacramento area this weekend stop by! “Spirits of the Mountain” Opens on Saturday, December 10, 2011 and will continue to be on display until Saturday January 7, 2012!
