MyPlasticHeart just revealed a sweet little teaser for an upcoming production 'A-Type' figure that features the stylings of Julie West! You may all remember the Andrew Bell created - odd shaped, alien like figure - posted up HERE a while back, and now it seems as though MPH might be doing an artist series with the first being from Julie. The teaser really shows us just a smidge of the goodness, and I can only imagine there is so much more to be seen... and like mentioned above, I can't wait to see more! I have always dug the shape of this figure, and with artist 'doing their thing' on them now... I can only foresee great things in the future!
Jesse Hernandez for some time now... and he eventually spilled the beans when he offered up his annual subscription, posted HERE, but up until most recently we had no idea what this figure would look like... until now! Above is pretty much a full reveal of said 8" Dunny and hot damn does it look awesome! I really love how the feathers tie into the already existing Dunny ears giving it an almost ceremonial headdress look... and how can you not dig those classic 'Hernandez' colors! The release is coming up quick, and along with this there will be a signing tour... but stay tuned for a full reveal along with run numbers and pricing in the the very near future!
Toy2R as they have just released images and info on an upcoming Qee x USB drive! These super simple designed Qee's are being co-produced by 'Choicee' an electronics company overseas, and one of the things that stands out amongst all the other designer USB drives is that these are quite large... 8GB LARGE... so not only are these the same size as the classic 2.5" Qee, but they are also available in various colors. Simply pop the head off the Qee Bear and you can store all your info or artwork on these handy and adorable Qee characters that are easy to carry around or simply display on your desk. There is no word on a price, or a release date, but stay tuned for more up to date info!
Scott Radke's Owls are now up for grabs on his website! Each mixed media sculpture sits 9" tall by 5.5" wide and there is six in total. They're all one of a kind. Take a closer look at the whole parliament HERE and shoot him an email at scott[at]scottradke.com if any make your head spin. (Sorry.)
"And you will know me by the trail of dead" custom art sculpture from Ritzy Periwinkle for Art Basel
Ritzy Periwinkle completed for the upcoming Art Whino showcase that is going down at Art Basel in Florida this week! Titled "And you will know me by the trail of dead", this figure, which was originally a saint - that one of the many that a lot of latinos have in their homes - was then painted up and modified by Ritzy! She tells us that she did the two sculpts of the skulls and hired Nebulon5 to cast duplicates in resin... with the end result turning out FANTASTIC! It stands a whopping 12.25" tall with a 5.75" round base. Along with this rad custom being up for grabs during Basel, she also mentions that she will be painting a large wall with Angry Woebots, Pixel Pancho, Sket One, Mr. Shane Jessup, Boosher, Leza, Lou Pimental, J*RYU, and Luke Chueh... a great event to go check out if you are making the trip to Florida!
Bowo Baghaskara as he shares with us some really sick pictures of his new sculpt titled "BIG BRUNO"! This stylized skull-tastic figure stands/sits around 7" tall and will be produced in resin! The shape is very similar to the rest of Bowo's creations, and one can;t help but point out the Huck Gee 'Skullhead' quality about them... but on the same hand stand apart on it's own! According to Bowo "Big Bruno is Symbolic from spirit, Imagination, Loyalty, and way of life." Stay tuned for more on this as the project progresses!
Creamous as he shares with us his "Mr Murdered Love" and "Cinderilla Man". These are one off figures and hold the true style that we have come to know and love from this artist... super unique and fun! From what I can tell these figure have already sold out, but if you are digging the style, there are others available HERE via his online store... go take a peek!
Sket-One just announced the release of a brand new series of custom 8" Dunny's that he is calling the Scarecrow "Fall Killer"... and as you can see in the picture above, you could probably understand why :-) Each Dunny comes signed and numbered, and includes a custom fall foliage display mat, a killer bloody machete accessory, a straw hat and burlap covering hood. They are set to go up for grabs TOMORROW - Wednesday, November 30th at 9am PST via Sket's online store HERE for $450 a piece. There are only 10 in this series, and if his previously released custom runs are any indication of how well these will sell... I wouldn't wait long to pull the trigger!
