Here is a cool little tidbit of info... posted up last night via Twitter,
Ferg told the world that his "Squadt" figures were on the most recent episode of
Showtime's Dexter (
Season 6, Episode 9 "Get Geller")... what was not known until today is that he was in good company as
Buff Monster's "Destroyer" figure was spotted in the same scene... really cool stuff! Can you spot them?!?! (

Plaseebo has teamed up with mecha customizer Todd Robertson for a really great looking collaboration project titled "
Mecha Brain Crawlers"! These are Bob's 'Night Gamer' vinyl brains and hand cast resin 'Octocrawler' bases with Todd's 'Mecha Virus' to create what you see above! Using styrene, aves sculpt, found electronics, vintage vacuum tubes, resin, vinyl, and glass marbles, Todd has created a masterfully crafted original figure lusciously painted with MonsterKolor, Montana sprays, acrylics and One shot. This unique character is
limited to just 6 custom pieces. Each Mecha Brain Crawler features three glass eyes, two glass vacuum tubes, an array of electronic parts and a switched color changing LED unit that illuminates the brain and glass eyes from within. The edition will be available from the PLASEEBO web shop

In keeping with the momentum of the holiday season,
Stranger Factory is already gearing up for its next exhibition: the annual
Winter Salon group hoedown, opening Dec. 1st! Participating artists include:
Glenn Barr, Colin Christian, Kelly Denato, Archer Dougherty, DrilOne , Illworx , Mikie Graham, Gary Ham, Zak Hutson, Chauskoskis, Steve Lee, Leecifer, Steven “Kid” Lew, Jon MacNair, CJ Metzger, Miss Mindy, Kathie Olivas, Brandt Peters, Michael Peters, Scott Radke, Chris Ryniak, Victoria Salvador, Rob Schwager, Amanda Louise Spayd, Cat Thompson, Scott Tolleson and
Emily Trovillion, among others. Running in conjunction with Nob Hill’s
Shop and Stroll in Albuquerque, local collectors will have first crack at the exhibited pieces. Everyone else will have chance to snag something the following week. The preview is slated to drop on
Wed., Dec. 7th, with inquiries beginning on
Thur., Dec. 8th. Specifics will be outlined in the preview, so be sure to sign up for it on Stranger Factory's

The boys over at
Rotobox never quit creating, and this time around they used their ever so versatile 'Celsius' figure to create an awesome set of super heroes... better known as the "Avengers"... and how fantastic did these turn out!?!?! These 4 pieces were on display during the 'Vinyl + Splash' event that was held last Saturday, November 26th, 2011 which by the way was a one day event... and I am almost certain these were the hit of the show, seriously amazing work! I really dig the way that they used the 'Celsius' wings to make Thor's helmet and that Iron Man figure looks awesome... I could almost see a production run of those being a HUGE success. What else is
Rotobox up to... well, we all just have to wait and see, but I can guarantee it will be epic!

2011 Christmas Cavey line up! This year there is
"Santa" Cavey and his friends,
"Reindeer" Coney's... and instead of the usual numbered format, Reindeer Coney's are marked with their name:
"Dasher", "Dancer", "Prancer", "Vixen", "Comet", "Cupid", "Donner", "Blitzen", and
"Rudolph"... how fitting :-)! These will be first come, first served and will all be blind bagged... so which one you get will be a surprise when you receive him! Santa Cavey is limited to 100 numbered pieces, is made from cranberry micro fleece and topped with a handmade Santa hat, and
will retail for £16. Reindeer Coney's are limited to 9 pieces, are made from chocolate brown velour with handcut felt antlers... and will
be just £25. Both Santa Cavey and Reindeer Coney will go on sale

Jesse Hernandez 'Gorillaz' custom just sent over some info about a new custom that he created... that actually formed from an unwanted mistake! According to Tony, his "
Yellow Diamond Ninja" aka CUSTOM GONE BAD, was formed after he had a clear vision to hit the most epic custom ever by grabbing a KR Kozik Swatch set, and get in the watch to customize the little Dunny graphic, but after picking at the watch, and taking it to a watch smith I learned that it's impossible to get in that watch as it's one solid piece. After knowing his planned failed, he decided to rip into in the watch to learn the anatomy for future knowledge. This was the end result. A nicely designed Yellow Diamond Ninja, with custom box, and a failure Swatch watch. This really nice (messed up watch) set is up for grabs via his online shop

So check out this rad news as it appears that
Happy Panda Toys will be hosting a custom toy show featuring the work of
James Fuller in their brand new Arts Factory location on Friday December 2nd. There will be a preview night on Thursday December 1st starting at 6PM and they will create a preview for the show that will be up via their website as well, where out of town folks that can not make it down to the show can see pieces and purchase them if interested. The show will run until the end of the month of December. What can you expect from "Misfit Toys" ... a ton of well polished custom figures in only a way that Fuller can create, seriously awesome pieces. If you are in the Las Vegas area, this show is a must!
