Blamo Toys: "The Epic Adventures of Swampy McSwamperton" @ Million Fishes Gallery
Tonight, Thursday November 17th saw the opening of Blamo Toy's Third Annual Custom Group Show, "The Epic Adventures of Swampy McSwamperton," and as the title suggests this years show was a truly "epic" event!! As with previous years 30 select artists were given a wooden Blamo DIY figure to work on and as usual the results have been jaw dropping. From detailed re-configurations of shape and form to simple but stylized paint applications these 30 custom Swampys represent a truly diverse cross section of toy makers, fashion designers, traditional, and mixed media artists.

Little Lotus Project - Humanitarian arts trip funded by Kickstarter... needs your help!!!!
As you read this there are only 67 hours left to go for the awesomely altruistic humanitarian art trip called the "Little Lotus Project"! The four participating US artists (Ritzy Periwinkle, Angry Woebots, J★RYU, and Daniel Zana) have created a Kickstarter page designed to help raise the funds needed in order to pay for the costs of this trip along with the necessary costs to help Daniel Zana, the creator of the movie "The Vinyl Frontier", to film this trip, and amazing experience as his followup movie. Every artist will need to raise and pay for all expenses so your support would be greatly appreciated in any way.

Hugh 'Dread' Rose "Intents" 1000% Be@rbrick
UK based artist Hugh Rose has been hard at work... and today he is sharing with us his amazing custom 1000% Be@rbrick from the 'Icons' group show in Leeds, UK. As you can see from the photos... this dude's attention to detail is second to none, and if you really look close... you can get lost in it!
The 'Icons' Show looked amazing, and above is a really great group shot of all the pieces that were involved... including the rad custom by Hugh! All the Be@rbrick's that did not sell are up for grabs HERE including that piece by Hugh, so head on over and give it a gander... and pull the trigger if you see fit!
