MeSmithy's 'KayNids' resin figure series revealed

So now that Megan aka MeSmithy has recovered from D-Con (like the rest of us) she thought now would be a great time to send along some info on her new 'KayNids' line of resin figures. Featured HERE on SS.com for the first time as one of our Free Goodie Friday prizes, Megan has been getting nothing but amazing responses from the ones she brought to D-Con... in fact they all went pretty quick! 'KayNids' are her first original resin piece and mini series, and each one stands just 5.5" tall, they are fully articulate and covered with hand stitched leather... so RAD!!! "Dark Kitsune" was a D-Con exclusive, but check out all those other versions above... totally diggin that "Bone Dog"!!!! According to Megan, she will be releasing more of these designs plus some new ones next month, so get ready! For more pictures hit the jump and be sure to visit Megan's site HERE!

There are only 250 to ever to be produced. Not only is the cup and saucer full sized for tea/coffee drinkers - but also each cup/saucer and art print is sequentially numbered, which are all included inside a wonderful collectors box that comes signed and sequentially numbered, as well as an included art print, plus a certificate of authenticity with artist bio. "JERK OF ART: The world's worst artist" resin action figure from the Super Sucklord

Well it looks like the Super Sucklord is up to his same sucky antics, and just posted up on his flickr site is something that no one in their wildest dreams would have expected to see... a resin figure of the man behind the mask, the un-altered ego better known as Morgan Phillips... in his chones nonetheless! This particular version is titled "Jerk Of Art" and is a most definite tongue-n-cheek response to his appearance on Bravo TV's "Work Of Art" reality show! There is no word on when this is going to release, or for how much, but I can guarantee you that it will sell out... and in the words of Sucklord himself "You're an a$$hole for buying this"!!! More updates when I get them... but keep your eyes on Sucklord's twitter feed HERE for up to date info!

Brent Nolasco's "Fallen" custom 'Aleppin Sane' for Art Basel is everything but "Sane"...

...because, it's insane!!!! Just look at the above custom 'Aleppin Sane' originally created by Plastic City/Jermaine Rogers that Brent Nolasco completely disemboweled -for lack of better terms- and turned it into an awesome custom piece! This, to my own knowledge, is the very first fully customized 'Aleppin Sane'... and I gotta say that Brent did it justice! Brent used the base vinyl figure as well as Ave's Sculpt, Leather, Wire, Found Objects, and Acrylic Paint to transform this into what you see above. I love the added ribcage, and bones, and check out the rabbits face -still intact- sitting on top of the skull... almost as if it were a mask... EPIC!!! Brent completed this for the upcoming Art Whino show that is going to be on display/sale at Art Basel 2011 on December 1st-4th in Florida! This piece, plus so many more will be up for grabs, so if you are going to Basel... LUCKY YOU!!!

Kidrobot x Skullcandy - Designer headphones

We recently saw Kidrobot team up with Swatch to release a really great series of Dunny/Watch combos, and it must have gone over good because Kidrobot has just announced another crossover collaboration with Skullcandy, an awesome designer headphone company! In true Kidrobot fashion they are not just putting their logo on things and calling it good, they are releasing two sets... one of which comes with a cool chrome plated Dunny.

The first set dubed "Kidrobot Agent Pop-art" is a bright vibrant blue and white with a pop of magenta, the Kidrobot Agent boasts a leather and suede headband, brushed aluminum and plastic headphone, and leather cable with gold plated plug for $59.95. Now the second set is the one collectors are going to be gunning for, dubbed "Kidrobot Mix Master"! This is limited to only 1000 pieces worldwide, and is accompanied by exclusive “chrome” 3-inch “jacked-up” Dunny, with decorative jack in the face. The headphones feature plush soft touch ear pillows, shatterproof construction, one-touch mute and duel channel cue control, interchangeable deejay cable and cable inputs, and stashable 3-piece foldable design... but the one thing about this set is that it's $299.99, a big price jump, but the headphones seem to be much better! So which one are you going to be getting? I am interested in hearing the sound quality in them personally.
