Makadi3000's custom are always a treat, his work on the Iron Penguin is the stuff of legend so it was a real feather in the cap when he agreed to join in the 3A custom show in SF at the 1AM gallery. In fact He had to be begged as he's a busy guy and with skills like his it's easy to see why. But we're certainly glad he joined in as his latest work is literally jaw dropping. "Seven" is what happens when you take the creativity and genuis of Adi and let it loose with one of the great DIY's from 3A.
If your in the San Francisco bay area this weekend be sure to come by the 1AM gallery for the opening of I AM LEGION, the 3A Custom show. The opening will be this Friday Nov. 4 at 6:30 pm and runs till Dec. 4.
The folks over at Art Whino Gallery are excited to be showcasing the rising talent of Pixel Pancho in his first U.S. Solo Exhibition! Opening on Saturday, November 19th, from 8-11pm and titled "Sogno Americano" this body of new works will show a strong focus on the life of materials and especially the deterioration and rusting of metals... all in a way that only Pixel can capture with his paintbrush! The theme of time past persists into the subject matter, where old photos are recreated with the robot characters. The work in this exhibit has been created in the past few months that he has spent traveling back and forth between the East and West coast. The iconic robots take on an American persona and describe his impressions of culture and society in this country. In conjunction with this exhibit, Pixel Pancho will be participating in a DC city-wide outdoor painting festival on open walls, from November 4th to 11th, featuring over 100 artists. His work will enliven the walls with large scale murals at Ivy City, Edgewood, and Sherman. To get up to the minute info on where he will be painting all week follow us on Twitter! @artwhino

The super talented husband and wife team of D.Ross "Scribe" and Alisa Ross are at it once again, and this go around they completed an amazing set of customs using a 10" MAD*L, and 2 Munnyworld figures. Scribe put his amazing painterly skills to work on these 3 pieces and Alisa put the ribbon on top, so to speak, with the awesome fabric/plush accessories... really pushing this set over the top in awesomeness! Titled "MADame L. DuJour and her pets Krackalacka and Foomer" I absolutely love the way each figure turned out, especially the facial expressions, and according to Scribe "some in Kansas City say she is a fashion icon... others say she always craves attention, you can be the judge". These pieces just prove that these two artist are at the top of their game... so keep you eyes peeled for more from them as they are always churning out amazing work! Hit the jump for more pictures!

Bloody brain shooter 1 1/4 oz. strawberry vodka such as Stoli 1/8 oz. Rose's lime juice 3/4 oz. Bailey's Irish Cream Splash of grenadine
Preparation:Chill vodka for better smoothness. Add vodka and lime juice to a shaker, shake and strain into a shot glass. Using a straw, dip some Bailey's Irish Cream into the shot. Once you submerge the straw into the Bailey's put your finger on top of the straw to hold the Bailey's in the straw. Dip the straw tip into the vodka and slowly release your top finger. The Bailey's will curdle a little bit due to the lime juice and you should be able to make strands of Bailey's.
Repeat the straw/Bailey's process to build a "brain" in the shot glass. Add a splash of grenadine to the concoction to add the 'blood' to the mix. Down the hatch as a shot.
Alternatively, have a friend hold a shot of Bailey's in their mouth and then add one of lime juice and swish it around. Cement mixer! Puke! Lose a friend! This was courtsey of brain shots [folkinz]Via Bloody Brain Shooters [neatorama]

The above items were made for only a couple dollars each! It's easy if you have a few things around the house and a dollar store nearby. You just need a little imagination and an eye for mixing and matching.
Who needs off-the-shelf seasonal Halloween decorations when you can make your own in an afternoon for a fraction of the price and get ten times the quality - not to mention something wholly unique?
This is a process, rather than a specific How-To. Use a similar process on your own to mix and match different items to make your own jars. Wander through the dollar store and look at the various items in a whole new way!
The most important thing is to think of a story behind each creation. This will direct your efforts. Once you have a concept in mind, the rest of the jar will pretty much make itself.
Here is how the above items were made. Expand on this and make your own!
These are some really great ideas, and I thought it was really cool to see what was made just by using common items you can find around the house or at the store for really cheap. Have fun, and if you do use this tutorial to make some of your own, send em my way, I wanna see!!!!

In celebration of Halloween, and all things orange and heavy, I present to you guys one of the sweetest pumpkin dropping montages I have ever seen... Note the awesome sound and actual reality of possible death (if hit by one of these beasts), as the cars get crushed like tin cans. Simply amazing...
P.S. I also love how the first guy who pulls the string slips as he dives away from the jack o' lantern death machine. I bet he peed a little.
