NYCC 2011 release: kaNO x Kuso Vinyl Dragon King "G.O.D." edition @ My Plastic Heart
Spotted at this past SDCC 2011, kaNO showed off his brand new, Kuso Vinyl produced 8″ Dragon King figure and today My Plastic Heart just announced that they will be releasing the "G.O.D." version of this figure at NYCC 2011! This figure is looking really nice and this particular colorway is based off of Bruce Lee’s character in the 1978 film The "Game of Death". The figure features the yellow jumpsuit and green baton from the movie and a Bolex handheld camera... and look at the hoodie pull strings, nunchucks?!?!? This is the first release of the limited edition figure with only 75 available at the myplasticheart booth #879 for $70... don't sleep!

*REVIEW* Kidrobot Black "Lilitu" figure designed by Tara McPherson
The figure itself came packaged in a closed box that is matte black wrapped with a gloss ribbon sleeve with foil stamping of the artist’s logo, and once the ribbon is removed the top part of the box lifts off revealing a nice glossy mural along with the figure! This figure sits 8" tall and is limited to just 200 pieces and is up for $250 right now HERE! It's cast in matte black vinyl (solid) with gloss highlights and an apricot color accent on the hair and eyes... which had some issues with cleanliness as the paint ran off in certain areas. The sculpt overall is awesome and the fact that the pool/puddle the figure is emerging from is a translucent colored smoky gray is rad, but there were a few issues with the sculpted hair... not sure if its because it was a review copy I got, but it seems like for $250 this should not be happening... but other than that the figure is boss and represents Tara's body of work superbly! Watch the video above to get an overall look at the packaging and the figure!

*RECAP* THE SUCKLORD COMETH!!! Impromptu signing tonight @ Munky King 10/05/2011
Last night, Los Angeles got a little taste of the good stuff, and by the good stuff I mean prime cut resin direct from the Super Sucklord himself as he took over Munky King on Melrose for the evening! Tons came out to witness Sucklord peddle his wares, and boy did he do it in style... which is apparent from that swagger/suit in the above photos that our friend Ryan Rescober snapped for us! Sucklord had an exclusive #WINNING PANEL Bootleg figure: (F*** you I'm Famous edition.) that featured the cover of his recent editorial in The Village Voice, plus tons of other miscellaneous random resin figures were pawned on unsuspecting victims as well... oh and look, kaNO stopped by to give his approval on what appears to be a new 'Suckadelic Suckpax' trading card! All in all it was a smashing turn out... but would you expect anyless from Sucklord?!?!

*PREVIEW* Alex Pardee & Skinner "The Butcher Kings" @ Gallery 1988 Melrose 10/06/2011
You have been hearing all about this show all over the internet and Los Angeles is in for a rude awakening tonight as Gallery1988 Melrose is opening thier doors to their most heinous exhibition to date... "The Butcher Kings" featuring over 80 pieces of art from both Alex Pardee and Skinner who lived together for 3 weeks in Skinner's underground laboratory concocting all the pieces for this show!
Today we are sharing with you some exclusive photos of the setup that photographer Ryan Rescober was able to snap up for SS.com... and for some reason all the photos of the pieces in this show turned out blurry... weird... guess you will just have to go to the show to see the pieces! As you can see both artists are hard at work (*cough*) setting up for this visual barrage, alsaving away on hanging all of these pieces which range in size, shape and color! If you are in the LA area, this is a must as both artist will be on hand to dazzle your senses!

Kidrobot x Gary Baseman - Toby’s Secret Society Mini Series
Just announced over on the KRonikle is a brand new mini-series featuring the creeptastic cryptic world of artist Gary Baseman as he created his entire world of mythological creatures... all of which feature Toby, the protector of dreams, memories, and darkest secrets, commands a sect of 11 spirits and brethren – the Disciple, the Princess of Secrets, the Goddess of Dreams, the Knight of Good Fortune, and the Seven Sacred Magi: Compassion, Destiny, Freedom, Lust, Love, Trust, and Truth – a select group of 3" figures chosen to represent the impulses of man. There will be 2,500 cases available and the cool thing about this series is that if you buy a case, you get the entire series! These will be available October 20th at Kidrobot stores, kidrobot.com, and select retailers for $9.95 a blind box. This is pretty cool for Baseman fans, and I find it cool to see an entire fresh mini-series... the question is, are there 2,500 fans out there willing to snatch up a case?

MPH continues to roll out the goods for NYCC as they just announced an exclusive release of "Milton" a character designed by Oliver Hibert and originally seen in 2008 at the “Designs of the Year Show” at the London Design Museum! This figure is being produced by adFunture and standing at a whopping 9″ tall and 6″ in girth, this figure looks like just what the doctor ordered! I am really digging all the texture and bright vivid colors... solid work for sure!
