NYCC: 'Edward' Resin by Room 909
Artist Jared Flynn aka Room 909 sent up word of his new resin figure debuting at NYCC this year, and it's just sick!!! 'Edward' is a monument to the rock gods that have blown out our ear drums and kept our neighbors up all night. This resin titan stands just over 13" tall. Each piece is cast and finished by hand and no two are completely alike. The finish is a real ground metal coating in a water based binder with layers of colored patina and a clear coat sealant. Sculpt by Jared Flynn. Molding and casting by Tony "Titanium" Montalvo of Alpha Godz Entertainment. These have been produced in a very limited run and will have two of each color available for $275 each @ the Titanum Toys, Alpha Godz and Room 909 booth #780.

Action Portable Heavy TK's coming soon from 3A
Fan favorite 3A's APTK's (action portable Tomorrow Kings) have quickly captured collectors and toy lover's hearts as one of the single best toys designed and released. In fact they were nominated for the Designer Toy Awards "toy of the year". So it's a great pleasure to see a new version shown even in teaser form.
Shown above, the Heavy TK, was first released in it's original form as a 1:6 figure back in 2009. The Heavy TK's came with only the RPG launcher and a shell, plus a incredibly detailed backpack and while they were great in the 12 in. size the large RPG often made for a hard time balancing the figure. This doesn't appear to be the case with the 1:12 version as they clearly hold the weight of the RPG and still have great balance (as shown in the photo) no doubt due to the smaller size of the 1:12 scale bazooka. I anticipate that these will be even more popular than their larger 1:6 brothers.
The original 1:6 Heavy TK's came in three versions. Two versions were offered from bambaland, a blue haired TK named Kato, plus a 3AA version, a Orange haired TK named Nasu. While retailers had the third version, a black haired Heavy TK named Soh for sale (pictured above in 1:12 scale) While we haven't heard any details yet for what will be available for the APTK Heavy TK release we're hoping to get at least the same 3 versions as the original 1:6 TK's though we'd love to see a few more versions as well.

Rapper and Artist Shawn Wigs just sent up word of his upcoming project called "Candy Licker"; a limited series of 100 custom Dunnys! Each one comes with a numbered & signed card in a hand crafted box and includes an all original CD with 2 new tracks by Shawn and Method Man. This is a pretty hefty undertaking and I definitely love the combination of art and music so this should be pretty awesome.
