DrilOne's custom for TAG's "Brain Evolution"

I hope you are all gearing up for tomorrow's Toy Art Gallery “Brain Evolution” Jumping Brain Custom Group Show... because if the picture above is not reason enough to go, I don't know what is. Artist DrilOne knocks another one outta the park with his eroded rusting on this resin figure, and to add to it... he created a custom gasmask and riveted the entire piece out giving it some seriously cool texture. Be sure to come out to see this piece, as well as soooo many others in person!

*REVIEW* Star Fleet IWG figure set

How's that old saying go... better late then never, well that is totally the case with this review as I have been foolishly sitting on these 3 figures for over a year now, just getting into reviewing them, and alot has happened in that span of a year. One major thing is that Rocketworld, the awesome company that made them, is on a temporary hiatus... and I am not even sure if they will ever come back... so these are seriously special! These 3 figures were released at SDCC 2010 as a special Star Trek/Rocketworld crossover and boy did they do a great job. In the LIVE review above we touch on many point, from the packaging to all the accessories and the figures themselves... as well as hint at a little giveaway... read on :-)

This exclusive Star Trek set of figures includes Capt. Titus, Lt. Commander Hannibal, and Commander Affonso who you might recognize are dressed up versions of Rocketworlds Insurgents Wilderness Gruppo characters! These are officially licensed projects from CBS/Paramount studios and came with accurately reproduced Star Trek TOS accessories and were limited to just 300 pieces each worldwide, and retailed for $50 each... so sweet!!! Take a minute or two and watch the video above, and be on the lookout for this entire set to be given away for one of our FREE GOODIE FRIDAY contests... hmmmmm, tomorrow's Friday right?!?!?!

What's new over at TYO Toys?!?!?!

So check this out, Phil over at TYO Toys has been working on a few custom Dumpsters of his own and found that the sides of the dumpsters have this perfect slot where you can keep new or used xacto blades... and Lord knows most designers/artists go through a ton of those... so this is a great way to store em, and look good while doing it! Also, check out that dumpster on the right... he added some fingerboard wheels/trucks to one, so he can knock it out the way easily when his hands are tied... rad! Oh, and if you were wondering these DIY Dumpsters are available HERE right now for only $14 a pop!

Phil also wanted to share a little sticker campaign that he has started to hopefully single-highhandedly save USPS from going bankrupt, some may agree with this, but those of us who have had our problems with this mail carrier could care less, but he recently sent out a bunch of the COPE2 trucks with labels like the ones you see above... would be interesting to see if they actually got shipped :-) If you wanna see what TYO Toys is up to, be sure to follow them on their Flickr site HERE as they update on a constant basis!
