Even though SDCC 2011 has been over for a few weeks now, it's soooo massive that George and Ayleen of Toy Break are still doing recap shows, and just like the last few episodes Ben and Scott join them on the couch as they feature interviews with MAD, Frank Kozik, Chris Ryniak, Nathan Hamill, Bonnie Burton, SpankyStokes (hey that's me!!!!), The Super Sucklord, Mimobots, and Datadub! What a fun episode! So sit back and have a Toy Break!

12" resin "Mutant Bunny" figures by Joe Ledbetter
Yup... these are really cool! Thanks to my buddy ole' pal Jeremy B. over at Jeremyriad.com, I became privy to yet another new release from Joe Ledbetter... and it's quite grand I might add! Joe has teamed up with Julie B. of Pretty in Plastic to take his iconic Bunny figure into the resin world by creating these amazing 12" tall statue like figures... all of which are being hand-painted by Joe!!! So, you might think that's not too bad as there are only 5 of these... WRONG... there are only 5 in the picture above, Joe is planing on hand-painting 40 of these, all of which will be released via his webstore HERE for around $1500 each!
This is a HUGE feat to take on, especially seeing the time and care that Joe takes painting them... giving all of these "Mutant Bunnies" a production like quality! As it stands right now, the 3 of the 5 you see above are now sold, but with the recent news release I don't see the others lasting for much longer! This is a great opportunity to get a 1-off piece of artwork from Mr. Ledbetter... a seriously cool piece of art at that! Keep your eyes peeled on Joe's site HERE as he will upload new Bunnies once he has them completed!

"Calavera Bunny" print from Joe Ledbeter
Last time it was a bunny looking mighty delicious as a sundae, and now Joe Ledbetter shows us today that his bunny creations are a little morbid! As part of Joe's series dubbed the "Mutant Bunny Print Series 2011", which features a series of Giclee prints, 12 to be exact, all measuring 5"x7" and will feature Joe's iconic bunny figure. This one titled "Calavera Bunny" comes signed, numbered, and watermarked for authenticity. Limited to only 99 pieces you can pick this up HERE right now for only $40! This is a great idea, and these prints are the perfect size to collect them all and have some wall space left over :-)

MAD paints his "Shout Out" design on a 4' tall Dunny for Shanghai Swatch x Kidrobot launch!
MAD is in Shanghai for the official worldwide tour and launch of the Kidrobot x Swatch release... and to commemorate the event, MAD was asked to paint a 4' tall Dunny with his "Shout Out" design... the same exact one that he had produced for his watch/Dunny combo, and above is the result. He also states that Tara McPherson is doing the same thing with her "Maxi" design, and that Frank Kozik will be there signing toys and doing sketches. MAD also says that they are pulling out all the stops for this release with a full red carpet release party... pretty rad. For up to date in be sure to start following MAD on his blog HERE and enjoy the journey vicariously through him.
