Rad custom motorcycle helmet by Angry Woebots
What's been in the works for over a year, and now finally completed and handed over at SDCC 2011, was a custom motorcycle helmet that Aaron Martin aka Angry Woebots created from fellow artist and friend Nebulon5. This fully customized helmet by Woes features a different panda on either side, and if you think this is going to sit on a shelf in Neb's collection... think again because he has sealed this art and is rocking it while riding his bike all around San Diego... rad! So keep those eyes peeled if you live in SD! Would be cool to see other artist do this, or better yet have a company get some art helmets in production!

Progress shots of "Bitsumo" the resin Sumo by DaiBot
It has been about 4 months since we have last heard/seen any info from Dai Tran aka DaiBot, the man behind the upcoming resin "Bitsumo" figure... but today we are getting a little sneak peak at some progress as it happens as the talented resin master Michael Gulen is piecing this bad boy out and casting all the needed parts to created this rad figure! According to Dai, the finished product will stand 3.3" tall, come with a hand-braided mawashi (diaper), removable helmet/hairpiece, it will also have 4 points of articulation and as you can see above is cast in 8 separate custom pieces! These were supposed to drop this July, but it seems to be pushed back a little bit... but stay tuned as the production is ramping up and the first run of these will be out very soon. For more info hit our last post HERE on this figure.
Custom "Bowser" Qee from MeSmithy... is AMAZING!
WOAH!!!! Check out the latest custom from Megan aka MeSmithy as she converted a once 8" tall Bbunny Qee into Mario's arch nemesis Bowser... now standing about 9" tall with the hair :-) This piece is seriously legit and features the amazing leather craftsmanship that Megan is know for. The customs also comes with a hammer accessory as well as movable arms, wrists, and head. I am honestly floored with this piece, and I am sure you are too... and the good news, it will be up for grabs via her online store HERE starting tomorrow Tuesday, August 9th and 12:00pm PST for only $300! To be honest, this is a steal... I guarantee Megan spent many many hours on this, and at that price it should not last long at all, so don't sleep on it folks!

**ON SITE** Skinner's "The Fragile Art of Existence" solo show @ Shooting Gallery 8/6/2011
Just this last weekend, Shooting Gallery in San Francisco played host to a new solo show titled "The Fragile Art of Existence"that featured a brand new body of work from the one, the only Skinner... and thanks to Leecifer we have the great photos to show you all the opening night festivities. As you can see from the photos, not only did Skinner create some amazing looking canvases, but he also did a pretty wild installation, painting the walls with all kinds of odd animal stencils, fluid patterns and shapes in a green/black/blue color scheme... which kinda seemed a little distracting from the actual paintings... but then again was very fitting for Skinners wild style of art! The show looked amazing and drew a large crowd... and from the looks of it, there were some "red dots"... so congrats to the Skinman! This show will be up and on display until August 27th, and the pieces can also be viewed HERE. Hit the jump for more pictures!
