Philippine’s ToyCon, Secret Fresh had on display the wooden figure known as "
Topsy Turvy Croc", and this thing is a beast... 17" tall to be exact, and like mentioned before... all wood!!! According to
Secret Fresh this is going to be up for grabs on Friday, July 1st 2011 in store... which by the way is in the Philippines... so all us international folks have to submit orders via email to
freshmanila@gmail.com with the subject title as "topsy turvy croc"... but be warned, at only 75 pieces, and a retail price of $350, I have a feeling this will go pretty fast! Oh and what about that teaser posted

Holy smokes is this custom set rad... and right off the bat I gotta say it may be my favorite custom 'Gassed' Squadt set to date! These are titled "Ironheart Squad" and were customized by German artist
Dust! He went all out on these pieces for a private collector, really giving them a true weathering effect... seriously EPIC! The use of color and texture works so well with these figures making me wish I could see them in person... hit this artists up

What was initially created as a
massive one off piece for the "
Kaiju For Japan" charity auction, artist
Sam Griffiths got such positive feedback on his "Gaman" figure that he decided to make smaller versions it... and so we have the announcement and release of his "Baby Gaman". This figure is 4" tall, and is 100% hand sculpted, molded, cast and painted by Sam! According to Sam, this is series 1 of 3 landscape inspired "Baby Gaman", the next will be desert themed, but in the mean time you can snatch one of these up

BABY GAMAN BACKSTORY:
"Gaman is a collective term given to the organisms that populate the landscape of Planet Domu, Literally. The Baby Gaman is the origin of new lands on Planet Domu, the first step in a grand and noble process unfolding over hundreds of thousands of years.
Offspring of proud, towering mountains that rest on distant horizons, Baby Gaman are born of fire and turmoil. When the time comes, their mothers claw their way to the surface over a period of arduous days, fighting with all their might to emerge before embarking on a pilgrimage to the Great Plains. Instinct drives them to these ancient lands, the birth place of all Gaman.
After months, sometimes years, the Gaman mother comes to rest at the exact point of her origin. Dark clouds roll across cracked and broken skies and ‘The Rising’ begins...
Her vast underbelly is torn and ruptured as boiling lava spews from her core. The ground beneath her shudders and warps as the universe pours its energies into her. As her limbs weaken and begin to buckle under the immense strain, the Baby Gaman bursts into the world in a shower of crimson lava, sparks, acrid plumes of shadow. Crashing to the ground and slick with lava, the Baby Gaman struggles to find its feet and take its first steps as a new part of the living breathing vistas of Planet Domu."

The title of the post says it all... Brian Flynn, owner and operator of Super7 is officially "over the hill" as he turns 40 years old today, but he's not going to let that bring him down as he wants to celebrate with all of YOU by releasing a few delicious new vinyl treats! First up is an edition of 40 Maroon vinyl
Mummy Boys with Mummy Gator heads... but not to give up all the spotlight, He broke the edition into four colorways of 10 pieces each, to celebrate S7's own 10th Anniversary! Maroon vinyl with baby blue, mint green, pink or orange spray.
But the fun does not stop there... also releasing today is Brian Flynn's newest figure "Little Prick" the cactus, who always leaves the house in clean underwear. 40 pieces for 40 years, Maroon vinyl with orange, white and gray sprays... what a fun character, and after seeing him I can only imagine the colorways planned for future releases :-) Both of these are up for grabs

It's been some time since we have covered some news on
Rich Dufresne and his company Imagination Asylum Toys, but today we have some good news as his "Space Zombies" series has 2 releases this month... and I was able to see them both first hand at the Toy Art Galley resin show... and will say that I was pretty darn impressed! "Titan" stands a whopping 9" inches tall and has an impressive 8 points of articulation with removable clip in his gun. He comes in GID for $85, standard edition for $75, and Blue with red armor for $75... check him out

Now the "Cyglob" cyclops comes in various styles ranging fro $60 to $75. Cyglob was designed by Rich and Jeremy Dufresne, and Sculpted by Rich Dufresne. This 3-headed creature stands 8" tall and features a really simplistic approach to the body type of the figure, but the simplicity ends there as this creature sprouts 2-heads from wither side with snarling teeth... a really cool monster design! Toy2R 5" Mini Qee event, and this time it's heading south of the border to Mexico! This epic custom event is being hosted by
Vinyles Chiles and is curated by the one and only
Frank Mysterio, who by the way has lined up an amazing talent pool of artists that are going to bring some serious heat to an awesome custom toy art show... and above is just proof, just look at some of the work produced by these guys! This is going down on July 9th, 2011, and above are just a few examples of what you can come to expect... so prepare yourself for some of the best custom work south of the border... and stay tuned for more previews and info once it gets released!
