"Sushi Kaiju" from Paul Shih... is awesome!!!!
It has sure been a long time since we have seen an original toy from New Zealand based artist Paul Shih, but today he is sharing with us his newest creation, and boy was it worth the wait! Introducing "Sushi Kaiju", a new resin figure dropping early July! This little guy, according to Paul "is a little punk who protects sea creatures and punishes anyone who disrespect or waste sea foods" and from the looks of it, he seems like one tough sushi roll! Above is a blank white resin version ready for some paint! I really dig this guy and I am pretty sure I have said it on here before, but will say it one again... tentacles are "in" in 2011! Looking good Paul, and will we see these in blank DIY form, that looks awesome!!!

RAMPAGE TOYS "Ugly Unicorn" full reveal
We have been following the progress the past few weeks HERE, HERE, and HERE of Jon from Rampage Toys upcoming vinyl toy release... the "UGLY UNICORN" and today we get to see the full reveal! This sculpt has now been sent to TOKYO meaning that in about 2 months from NOW the release goes live! Test shots a bit before then! Jon states "I'm SUPER psyched on this guy. I cannot wait to see the wax cast and (especially) the test shots! It will surely seem like a weird dream to hold the casts in hand!" This has got to be really exciting, especially having it be his first vinyl project! I can see these all painted up and looking really nice... congrats Jon, and just like you I look forward to the progress of this figure!

Skinner's custom "Monstrooper" is creeptastic!
Check out the latest custom vinyl toy that collector Kyle R. commissioned Skinner to do... so cool! Kyle sent an old school Pete Fowler "Monstrooper" figure over to Skinner because according to him, it's still one of his all time favorite pieces, the fact it's all smooth was perfect for Skinner to let rip with some crazy designs... and that he did! Gotta love all that amazing line work! Thanks for sharing Kyle, and keep on rockin Skinman!!!

"PROM NIGHT DISAGREEMENT" from Ashley Wood
Artist Ashley Wood previewed a upcoming art piece that should be coming soon. Sculptural type pieces arent something new from the artist as he's continued to explore the medium with his 1:1 scale bots, but this proves to be a departure from his usual forte while not straying to far. Titled "Prom Night Disagreement" this new sculpture is a 1:1 representation of a severed foot. Evoking the clean lines that remind one of Coarse toys or Ash's own Tomorrow Queen... this latest creation certainly draws interest. Here's hoping for more info soon. Word is this will be featured at Ashley's bambaland store in the near future.

New 6" Hazmapo's from UNKL for SDCC 2011
Awww yeah!!!! We just found some exclusive photos from UNKL of a new Hazmapo that is set to release at SDCC 2011... and there is something special about these new versions... they are 6" tall!!!!! Awesome right?!?!?! We are used to seeing them at around the 4" tall range, but it appears that since they teamed up with Toynami "big" things are happening... and according to UNKL this is just the tip of the iceberg for SDCC!!!
