Halfbad Toyz "Podiagon" release
Halfbad Toyz has just officially announced the second figure in their FOEZ line of characters... and boy is he awesome! Introducing "Podiagon", standing at over 5" tall he sports four points of articulation, and comes with a removable Sludge Gun accessory that you can see in the top picture. Sculptor Steven Patt did an amazing job on this piece, and all the details show through with fantastic precision! I really dig the sea theme, and the fact that he has a lifesaver stuck to his back and a starfish on his belly is just awesome... oh and how may figure have feet on their heads, hahaha! This beast is up for grabs right now HERE in both the painted version and a dope GID version... go grab one up, you will be truly impressed with this in person!

DMS "T42" Lunartik Mini Tea custom series
Holy smokes is this rad!!!!! Check out the latest custom... or should I say one off from artist DMS as he share with us his massive "T42" custom Lunartik Mini Tea. This is a really cool 6" tall figure made from resin, polystone resin, and ABS styrene... and in all honesty, not to take away from the whole Lunartik Mini Tea theme, I would have loved to have seen one of DMS's original figures piloting this character... as he put so much work into it, why not claim it 100% yours! Either way this articulated robo beast is limited to 15 pieces worldwide and is retailing HERE for just $80 each! Stellar job man!

The First Mate Nataniel Vigo by Jon-Paul Kaiser
Posted up a while back HERE was a look at a sweet Pirate themed Qee from Toy2R designed by UK based artist Jon Paul Kaiser... that was release late last year and now we are getting a look at what appears to be the first of many figures from JPK and Toy2R as they introduce to us "The Pirate First Mate, aka Nathaniel Vigo" a 5" Mini Qee as part of The Whispering Corsair series! JPK's distinct black and white line work is so perfect on this platform and I am stoked to see even more!
The story of "The First Mate Nataniel Vigo":
"The staunch first-mate of Captain Stūrnbrau, ever loyal to his captain and maintains order over the crew on board the haunted galleon; The Whispering Corsair. Nathaniel was found in the steamy, distant port of Manchin. Abandoned there by his previous crew for his drinking and fierce temper, when invited aboard the The Whispering Corsair, he accepted without hesitation. He quickly rose through the ranks to become first officer, though only to control the grog rations."

Del Taco's "Mr. Nibbles" get a little Tyler Coey treatment...
Artist Tyler Coey just contacted me with some exciting info... that kinda lies in the same vein as designer toys, except it's a little bit more mass produced as for his day job he creates kids meal toys/activity books/ect. for a children's marketing agency. He tell us that for the past few years they have been doing a series of "Nibbles" characters for Del Taco, and ever since starting there last year it was a project he really wanted to be a part of. This particular series was set to be "Mucho Nibbles 2 - the Rematch" building off of a previous series of lucha characters... and three of Tyler's designs made it through to production and above you can see em... cool!
Tyler has been told the the toys have shipped to the restaurants so they should be releasing at Del Taco very soon, and unlike those Taco Bell "Bellheadz", now people can get a vinyl toy in their kids meal that's actually designed by someone in the scene! One thing I noticed with them is the somewhat similarity of the ear to Dunny's and knowing how rabid this scene is I asked Tyler "What would you say to people who critique you and said that these look like Dunny's? He went on to say that "I didn't design the shape... The figure has been produced for several years before I worked there. I'm not sure the designer of the shape was even aware of dunnys when it was concepted haha... I'm not sure exactly how long the figure has been around but it's been awhile. The shape is "Mr. Nibbles" the chinchilla character Del Taco uses for their kids meal promotions." and if you google Mr. Nibbles, you will see what Tyler is talking about, and in all honesty the similarities stop there because the body is more animal shaped! I am stoked that Tyler got his designs on these figures, and may go to Del Taco just to snag these up!

OMFG! Series 1 has just gone LIVE!!!!
What has been in the works for some time now... and has finally reached a stage to where it can be shared with everyone publicly is this awesome new Kickstarter program, and for most this will strike a chord with your inner child! Remember the fun of collectible mini figures like M.U.S.C.L.E. and Monster In My Pocket? So do the folks over at October Toys... that's why they are proud to present to you the inaugural series of OMFG! - Outlandish Mini Figure Guys! This project originated from the fabulous group of artists, designers, and toy enthusiasts that have gathered at the October Toys/Toy Break forum. Over the course of several months, over 40 character ideas were submitted from all around the world and the forum voted for their favorite designs to be put in to production... and now this project has reached it's funding stage and that is where YOU all come in!
Head on over to the Kickstarter page HERE to help fund this project. For as little as $10 you can get all 5 figures, and one of them is the first time you all will be able to get my SpankyStokes.com mascot "Stroll" (I am sooooo stoked on this) in 3D form! There is even a RETAILER option exclusive color run with their own header for only $1000. That’s $5 a pack wholesale!!!!! Every little bit helps and the bast part is this is totally community based! Above is an example of the sweet blister type retro packaging, and the poster art for this project... AWESOME!!! Let's all pitch in and make this a reality!

Crazy Custom "eye tv pixel" by cikcuk
This awesome custom "Eye TV" was sent up by German based artist and designer cikcuk and was done for the "Happy Shocks, Victim Shakes, Guerillas Rawks" show put on by Indiguerillas. Using elements and themes already found in cikcuk pieces but taking them to another level, this custom is unlike anything I've seen before... simple, smooth and clean... I love it! Check out more images of this piece as well as other cikcuk artwork here.
