QEE To Happiness Contest - is LIVE!!

We teased you a few days ago about an upcoming contest Toy2R is launching and it's now LIVE! Running through May 27th you have the chance of scoring some FREE toys from Toy2R... how do you enter, well see that photo above, they packed it full of 2.5” Qees and all you have to do is guess exactly how many Qees are in the tub! The plastic tub measures 22” long x 15” wide x 6” deep... note that there are Qees of all characters from several years past (Bears, Eggs, Toyers, etc). Also, some are still in their original polybags, so guess wisely :-) Post your guess on the Toy2R USA Facebook Page and you're entered - just that easy! Winners will be announced on May 30st, good luck to all that enter!

'DEBRIS JAPAN' revealed @ Design Festa

Thanks to the photos and info from Andy over at Kaiju Korner we have the above shots of the awesome new figure dubbed 'DEBRIS JAPAN' from Japanese company Restore. This was on display at Design Festa and as you can see looks extremely wicked, better than I had ever imagined. We had seen photos previously HERE and HERE of this figure, but nothing was as polished as what we are looking at above. The attention to detail is off the charts... just look at those veins! Now, this piece is soft vinyl aka sofubi, but on top of that Andy states that there is also paper, metal, and resin parts... and the cherry on top, 7 points of articulation! Look for this to drop sometime this summer with more details releasing soon!

Amazing new customs from Artmymind

Whoa... the art duo Guillaume and Julia Lachambre aka ArtMyMind from France have been really busy and have a couple new things to share with us today, the first being a new 3" Dunny series titled “Amanojaku”. "From all evil spirits, Amanojaku might be the most vicious and manipulative one. Capable to read into a person's heart, he is hunting innocent souls to bring out their deepest and darkest desires. Most often coming by night, he is sneaking into houses and leaving his evil corruption into people's mind. Will you be strong enough to resist this wicked creature?" This is an edition of 5 Dunnys that are skillfully crafted and are made with acrylics, fabrics, clay and other materials. I seriously love these little guys, and not only is the figure well put together , but the photos help push this piece over the edge... great photos make for a happy Spanky! This very limited series will be released for $78 each in their online store HERE on 2011/05/15 at 10am PST!

Up next is another super crafted piece... and this one was their entry to the Munnyworld Megacontest, “Kataleon”, is a one of a kind custom Foomi, and may be my favorite Foomi custom thus far. "Coming from the deep forest of Akukubahi, Kataleon has been raised to become one of the most skilled guardians of the canopy. His abilities were fast recognized to be essential during the war opposing them to the fearful Kuraisaru clan." One of the really unique aspects about this piece is the tail support that can be detached for easier reposition.... the textures, paint, and theme all work so well together! Kataleon will be on sale for $235 in their online store HERE on 2011/05/15 at 11am PST! Stellar work all around guys!
