"Bringing Home A Baby Bumblebee" custom 8" Dunny by Kevin Gosselin for G40 Art Summit

When an artists goes quiet for a little while it's either one of two things... either they have stopped doing art completely, or they have been mad busy with tons of projects, the second of the two is the case for artist Kevin Gosselin as he is not only getting pieces ready for his 3-man show at Dragatomi next week, but he also completed this amazing custom 8" Dunny titled "Bringing Home A Baby Bumblebee" for the custom vinyl show at the G40 Art Summit in DC on May 20th - June 17th! Kevin states that "Originally I was just going to do another rock golem piece but in the style of the red rocks of Utah but when I finished I felt it didn't have the personality I had hoped for. I knew I need something else so I decided to add a supporting character. When reading up on what animals would be present in that environment I came upon a still of Beaky Buzzard and Bugs Bunny. As I am a huge fan of the old Warner Brothers Looney Tunes I was immediately sold." It's really cool to hear the story about the piece and visually see the progression that Kevin took to get it to where it is now, and the incorporation of the WB characters is just awesome... and just look at this, friggen super impressive! Great work Kevin, and I look forward to seeing what you have in store for your show at Dragatomi :-)

Head on over HERE now to pick up the blank pink colorway of this little guy for only $45 and have a look at all the other great stuff up for grabs as well!

Raku Dunny "Day and Night" by Huck Gee

What did we tell you... hot off the teaser release of yesterdays Kidrobot Twitter account stating "Gold Life is coming..." we have less than 24hours in between for them to officially announce the release of Huck Gee's "Day and Night" Raku 8" Dunny series! Now we had speculated that there would be a day/night version, and we were right, but what we did not know is that on top of those 2 Kidrobot plans on releasing a retailer variant set as well as their own set. The Red 8" Raku Dunnys (Night & Day versions) are Kidrobot exclusives, sold only at Kidrobot stores and kidrobot.com for $100 each whereas the Black 8" Raku Dunnys (Night & Day versions) are available only at specialty retailers for $100 each... all of this is going down May 26 so if you wanna get right down to it, $400 is what the entire set will cost ya!!! Keep in mind, these are based off Huck's customs, and from the looks of them... Kidrobot did a friggen sweet job !

If you remember back in June of 2007, Kidrobot released the Shogun and Geisha sets (2 blue, and 2 red) for the same $100 a pop price tag... but they were a little more limited at 300 each... where this new set is limited to 500 pieces each, still limited and will most likely sell out! This is a great way to snag up a cool Huck piece without paying the high price for one of his customs, so be stoked about this! These also come with some pretty stellar accessories as "Daylight's" cloth-robed Raku wears detachable peasant sandals and plastic bamboo peasant hat, coiled rope and bedroll, and a walking staff. Where "Nighttime" has a pair of claws, comes with a sculpted tail and a blade. I really like these... what are your thoughts on em?

"Don Diablo" custom Bumrush by Chauskoskis

Hot off the post of Mr.Den's amazing custom "Prepare For Glory" Tequila which is for the upcoming 'Cast in Plastic' show on May 14th, which is being held at Domy Books in Houston Texas... we are getting a look at yet another fantastic submission for this show, and just from these two, the show looks to be AMAZING! Walter Jacott aka Chauskoskis floors us all once again with one of the coolest, if not the coolest, custom Bumrush (OG designed by Jroo from Dynomight NYC) titled "Don Diablo"! The style that Walter brings to the table is unmatched, and with each piece completed under his belt, he seems to be getting that much more refined in his craft... I mean check out the subtle 666 on the chest and the knees... it's fine details like that which blow me away! Great job once again Walter... KILLER!!!!
