Tokidoki's "Unicorno" Mini-Series 1

We first spotted these on the net, thanks to TRE, at last year's STGCC, and now Tokidoki is ready to launch a full scale global attack on us with Unicorns... introducing "Unicorno" blind box Series 1! This will be their first mini-series release in two years and it will consist of 2.5" tall PVC figures all rockin a cool Unicorn shape with many different fun designs that have a way of being badass and cute wrapped up in a tiny horse with wings package :-)

There are 10 figures in total, 8 regular figures including: Bellina, Dolce, Metallo, Mooka, Peperino, Pogo, Ritmo, and Stellina along with 2 chase figures which are Fumo, and Prima Donna... which both seem to have pretty rare ratios at 1/50 and 1/200 respectively. If you fancy yourself buying a case it will contain 24 blind-boxes and at a cost of $6.95 a piece your looking at $166.80 for a case! These will be a big hit, as most Tokidoki merchandise is... and look for these to drop very soon as they are slated to release April 22, 2011. Hit the jump for a TON more pictures of this cool mini-series!

Frank Kozik's "Gipper" bust for SDCC 2011

Just posted up via Frank Kozik's Facebook page is this awesome newly revealed bust of of Ronald Reagan aka "Gipper". This 18" bust of the 40th president of the United States has all the great characteristics you would expect to see from a pop surrealistic Kozik sculpt like the etched "X" on the forehead, The Anarchy lapel on his jacket, and the safety pin for an ear ring... PUNKS NOT DEAD :-)!!! This like the majority of Frank's larger sculpts was done by the very talented Brin Berliner, and as Frank states this may be available for SDCC 2011... of that's the case there is no word on if it will be released as fiberglass, resin, or vinyl... either way it's really cool, and in the words of Ronald "One picture is worth 1,000 denials."... which in this case there is no denying that the picture of the figure above will be a hit amongst fans of Kozik's work!

Monstrehero loves their minerals...

Monstrehero recently released a new figure called "Ememgon" who is a Mineral Monster, hence the Em-Em in Ememgon... this whole thing was conceptualized by Connell Little aka Plastichunter where each body part is based on a different material, and almost all the parts started out as real stones or minerals. The head is sort of an organic sludge/oil, so it has a shark tooth sticking out of it. Each "Ememgon" is articulated at both arms, both legs, and head, and there will be new interchangeable parts released as time goes on. This beast stands about 7" tall and about the same wide. There has not been an official release for these yet but they did do a run for the Connell's 70's b-day party that was held at Super7 and that batch is up in the S7 online store HERE right now. It's pretty awesome that these figures are resin and articulated... something that is not being done too often... and if your a geologist... this is right up your alley :-)

Munnyworld customs by Nakanari & Ian Ziobrowski

The customs keep rolling in as Kidrobot continues to promote their two newest figures in their ever expanding line of DIY Munnyworld characters... and what better way to do it than by recruiting some of the best customizes out there, and in this case Nakanari and Ian Ziobrowski. First up are the two loveable "Spiki" and "Skitty" custom Foomi's on the outside by Nakanari that feature the clean lines and design that Nakanari is know for... both of these guys will be exhibition display at Kidrobot Miami. Up next is the always cool creations by Ian Ziobrowski as he used the new Kracka figure to create his "Nuggywolf", and Ian states that he came up with the idea by wondering what would happen if his protagonist "NUGGS" turned into a werewolf... great job indeed! This piece will be on display at the Kidrobot NYC store!
