*RECAP* Bic Plastics x Marka27 "ASIA" minigod release @ SIXHUNDRED boutique on 2/19/2011

In case you missed the launch party of Marka27's "Asia Minigod" release at SIXHINDRED in LA., you aren't the only ones as SS.com wanted to attend, however we were unable to... but thanks to Marka we have these awesome pictures as well as a little synopsis of how the event went. From Marka27: "Despite the terrible weather fans and artists made it out to be the first to own an Asia-Minigod. In attendance were Ritzy Periwinkle, Kano, Toofly, Blokhedz, and others. The Sixhundred boutique was bumping all night with music directly blasting through the Asia minigods. Also Marka27 painted the outside wall of Sixhundred and finished his ASIA themed paint job right before the storm hit." These awesome designer speaker systems are now available via Marka27's online shop HERE, so head on over and snag one up :-) Hit the jump for a photo slide show from the event!

Android blind box mini's Series 2 - Design's by Andrew Bell, and Scott Tolleson

Today we are getting a look at the next 2 pieces in the upcoming Android Series 2 3" vinyl figure release! It's really awesome to see these 2 designs as I dig them both, and it's also great to see artist Scott Tolleson's work being translated onto different platforms... gotta love that argyle/geek look, and "Bernard" is looking prety fly if you ask me :-) I am also really digging the design by Android figure creator Andrew Bell as he turned this very simple bot into "GD-927" a more realistic bot with cool detailed features. The paint application on these looks amazing, as it has on the previous reveals! These are set to retail for $7.50 and will be sold via blind box once again, and are slated for an early March, 2011 release! As it stands right now there will be 12 different designs, more announced as the date draws closer!

Fahrenheit "Inazuma" by Rotobox

Kuso Vinyl just posted up some really great pictures of an upcoming Fahrenheit release they are calling the "Inazuma" edition. This is a collaboration between KusoVinyl x Spaghetti Project x Rotobox and features a cool metallic blue and silver color scheme with a rad lightning bolt graphic above the left eye. According to the myth of "Inazuma" he is the "Thunder warrior, and controls the climate when fighting with Celsius. Even though Celsius can fly, it does not matter, as thunder will take him down!". This version is extremely scarce, as it is limited to only 50 pieces produced worldwide... when and where it will be released is unknown at this point, but according to Kuso... look for it to drop very soon!

Han Solo & Dianoga custom JAWS from JonPaul Kaiser

Above is yet another amazing custom from UK artist Jon Paul Kaiser as he has transformed yet another Coarse Toys JAWS figure into a Star Wars themed all black-n-white custom. This time around instead of tackling the Boba Fett figure like he did previously HERE, Jon Paul decided to turn this male figure into Han Solo in his Stormtrooper disguise on the Death Star... and as you can see, it really works out quite well! JPK said that "I stalled a bit when it came to the crown part, not quite knowing how to make it work. After a while of planning I finally got around to turning it into the dianoga beast from the same film & scene." He sculpted on the top of the crown, adding the eye-stalk and main tentacles that really put this custom over the edge! Seriously amazing work once again, and congrats to the lucky owner!

Jeffrey Lamm's - "M5 Bravo" & "Stee-Gar" progress...

Last month around the same time we showed off some progress shots of Jeffrey Lamm's newest vinyl figures HERE, and now revealed via Jeff Lamm's Facebook page are some really fantastic updates with progress shots of his "M5 BRAVO" & "STEE-GAR" figures! In the above photos you can see the different variations in color, and although these are just prototypes the final releases will be in the same vein as what you see above in all the metallic goodness. You can also see the changeability of the two figure in the top photo as the heads can be swapped!

Jeff also posted up a really cool picture of these guys with his already produced Greasebat figure so you can get a feel for how big they are... and they are just that LARGE! I have a feeling that once these are released they will be very sought after... and why not, who doesn't love awesomely interchangeable galactic monster figures! More very soon... and to stay up to date on all the happs, you can email greasebat@gmail.com with "mailing list" as the subject for info!
