'Marmocchi' Handmade Sculptures
These little guys were sent over all the way from Paris by graphic designer Elena Bertoncini, who handmade these "Marmocchi" monsters out of Fimo clay and aluminum. She is currently looking for someone to collaborate with and possibly put these into limited production, so if you are interested, or just want to say hello and give her some comments, then drop her a line here.

beinArt Collective Group exhibition ‘Dystopia’
International surreal art collective beinArt has an incredible group show coming up this March 19 @ Copro Gallery in Santa Monica. Featuring over 50 artists from all over the world and curated by Jon Beinart, this looks to be a very promising show. Kris Kuksi and Laurie Lipton will be signing copies of their books at the opening reception as well.
"Chaos and ruin. Technological trends corrupting. Deformation, anatomical abnormalities, degradation and displacement. Whether related to the human body and spirit or the human environment, it is the ‘anti’ utopia. The theme of this show, ‘Dystopia’, will place the viewer in a fictional world where personal and societal fears can be explored. Whether figuratively or more literally, the participating artists will present their own interpretation of ‘Dystopia’."
Opening Reception: Saturday, March 19th – 8:00 – 11:30 pm.
Exhibit runs from March 19th – April 9th 2011.
Copro Gallery, Bergamot Station
2525 Michigan Ave, Unit T5
Santa Monica, CA 90404

"Pokemon Project" Paintings by Kat Brunnegraff
Artist Kat Brunnegraff has started an ambitious project... to paint all 151 original Pokemon characters! As a sort of celebration for the new Pokemon Black/White game coming out next month, Kat has the first set of three done: "Dratini's Evolution" (Dratini, Dragonair, Dragonite). Each piece is a one-of, 5.5" x 5.5", and is painted with acrylic on poplar wood. They are available in her store now, and I can't wait to see the rest of them. What a cool project!

Tesselate sent up a new 3" custom Dunny called "Bobby the Trespasser" and I love how he is keeping strong to his style but still staying fresh! This guy is up for grabs on Feb. 22 in the Tesselate store and will probably sell out fast like the rest of them, so don't wait! Click here for more pics of this awesome custom.
