Joe Ledbetter's "Wrecks & Dazey" figures

Analog Playset and Joe Ledbetter are proud to present Wrecks and Dazey! This vinyl figure set marks Analog Playset’s first toy release, and these two characters from Joe were first seen gracing Motion City Soundtrack’s “My Dinosaur Life” album artwork. Wrecks is the lovably disturbed dinosaur, and his ever-present, unlikely companion Dazey the bee is his foil. The figures are available as a set, stand 6” and 3.5” tall, are limited to 700 pieces, and are releasing this spring. It's really so fantastic the leap from 2D to 3D that all of Joe's figures make... it's almost meant to be, and these look so cool... perfect for all Ledbetter fans out there! Oh and not too shabby of a first release for Analog Playset... congrats guys!

Alien Argus customs from Cris Rose, Skinner, Plaseebo, and Prometheum5 for T.A.G. show

As the upcoming Alien Argus Group Show at Toy Art Gallery is getting closer to the opening night 2/26/2011, we here at SpankyStokes.com will continue to post up entries into this show... and today we have some really awesome ones to show off! First up is the master-craftsmanship of UK based artist Cris Rose as he transformed his Alien into a cyborg of types, mixing in robotic parts from 3A figures and found objects... this is one sweet custom. Next up is the work of Bob Conge from Plaseebo as he used the top half of the original figure and attached it to a custom resin squid like body... I wouldn't be surprised if this has a patented Plaseebo LED unit inside it :-) Onto the more traditional approach of kaiju customization as both Skinner and Prometheum5 but their artistic talents to work giving these figures some seriously sweet paint jobs... both really unique and super eye catching! This show is going to be seriously EPIC... don't miss out!

Jon Paul Kaiser's custom "Pocket Stomp"

Jon Paul Kaiser posted up some seriously cool pictures of a custom Pocket Stomp from Super7 that he just completed. He stands only 3" tall and JPK says that the one he got was clear and it was tough to see all the details so by adding a base coat of white and calling out the details with black, really made this figure pop!

Paul Kaiju's "Seagool" sculpt

First and foremost... can you say resin, and secondly... make it so Paul Kaiju! Posted up over the weekend via Paul's Flickr was this really cool picture of a figure dubbed the "Seagool" which Paul explains was his second consideration for Super7's Monster Family entry... where they ended up picking Partyball instead. Paul did not let it stop there as he went right ahead and sculpted the figure anyways to see what it would look like... and I dig it!!! Would be rad to see a small run of these, self produced, and knowing Paul... this may happen :-)
